Asansol Tourism and Travel Guide

Primarily an industrial and mining town in West Bengal, Asansol is rapidly developing into a modern city. Should you find yourself here for a few days, there's not much you can see or do, but the city does offer its fair bit with parks, temples and dams. Among the more famous ones, you can visit Churulia. A village located about 17 km away, it is the birthplace of Kazi Nazrul Islam and houses a museum where artefacts and his works are preserved. The Maithon Dam and Panchet Dam located about 25 km from Asansol are other places of interest for visitors and locals.
