Top Places To Visit

Nubra Valley

The Khardung La Pass at 18,380 feet, is the highest motorable road in the world, and a gateway to the Nubra Valley. The beauty of the Nubra valley is that it allows you to look over the Indus valley in the south and the mountain ridges of the Zanskar. You will get to see some rare and interesting plantations, quaint hamlets and high altitude desert landscapes. You will find the Siachen Glacier to the north of the valley and the Sasser Pass to the northwest of the valley.

Sula Vineyards

This is a wine factory in Nashik and they also have a specialty restaurant by La Plage based on Italian ways and cuisine. As you enter this lovely place you will be greeted by the awesome farms on both sides of you. The guide here will take you along the vineyards and explain each details about how the grapes are grown here and how they are used to make different types of wines. At the end you can sit for a nice and educative wine tasting session with the experts who will tell you more about how to understand and differentiate between wines. The staff is good and the service you are provided with is very good too.

Old Delhi

Old Delhi was founded as Shahjahanabad by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1639. It remained the capital of the Mughals until the end of the Mughal dynasty. Many people tend to get confused between Delhi and New Delhi. To be precise, New Delhi is the later development done to Delhi or Old Delhi. The Old Delhi was the place that the Mughal kings ruled for centuries. This part has most of the old monuments, palaces and buildings. New Delhi comes under the same government and started becoming popular much after independence in spite of being a creation of the British Raj. This part is made up of the best restaurants, clubs, cafes, contemporary and modern museums, offices and other extensions. Malls are also an important feature of New Delhi which makes it different from the old markets of Old Delhi.

Dodabetta Tea Museum and Factory

When we are talking about the best hill station of the nilgiri range we are always talking about Ooty or the Udhagamandalam. There are a number of mountains which are close to it and are a part of the Nilgiri Hill Range. Out of these the Doda Betta is the highest mountain and is about 10 kilometres away from Ooty. After you have finished trekking and have reached the peak of the mountain there is something very nice waiting for you. It is a visitors observatory center. This is a two- storey building and the second floor is in the form of an observatory. The whole gallery is circled with glass panes and there are placed two large telescopes. With the help of these you can take a closer look of the surrounding peaks and the amount of beauty they possess.

PDT Mumbai

I had mostly covered what I had on my list and headed back to South Mumbai and walked around Colaba for a while. If you are one of those who loves a random long drive, take a drive a little late into the night to and fro the Bandra-Worli sea link, a massive bridge built on sea. Roll down on your windows and treat your hair to a wild dance. You can stop at Juhu beach, but I chose to give it a pass (not much of a beach bum). Remember to go at night, it will be less crowded and don't get into the water if you don't want to wake up with skin conditions. I lost track of time and at around 1:30 AM headed back to the room and packed my bags.

Leopard Valley

Leopard Valley is a one-of-its-kind magical dance club, hidden in a lush valley in Agonda Village, Goa. One of the biggest open-air clubs in India, Leopard Valley is situated in the middle of a jungle quarry. The stone decor blends seamlessly in with its natural surroundings and the long bar serves all kinds of drinks. But this isn't just a night destination. You can enjoy its greenery and dance non-stop in the day as well. But its psychedelic lights and lazers and electric atmosphere only comes alive after it gets dark.Route: You'll see the club's signboard as you go to Agonda from Palolem. As you take the dirt trail, an iron gate will welcome you into a steep descent towards the valley.

York Winery & Tasting Room

This winery is built on a natural slope and has separate tanks for red and white wines. The place produces a staggering 1 million litres and its storage area is around 6000 square feet. York Winery is famous for the red wine grapes that are used in the manufacture of their best tasting red wines. To get here, one has to travel to the Gangavarhe Village. It is advised that one make a call to the winery and have a reservation made before the visit. The place is huge and offers one a tour of the winery while a guide talks one through the wine making process.

Club Cubana

A must visit party place of Goa! The 4 levels of pub, a poolside area, great DJ, bar area and view of goa from the hill. A Jeep takes you up the hill, but you can also walk 300m of steep road. If you want to sit in a nice place you have to come early. This place is just perfect to party! The couple entry is INR2k on weekends which includes unlimited alcohol (seemed diluted to me). If you are in a large group, then take VIP coupons and enjoy your drinks. Stag entry is not allowed!
