During my recent time to Madurai part food exploration part meeting my dear college buddy Deeran , I could explore much more than what I expected. Some of the unique dishes/drinks which you only get in Madurai made me go gaga over them. These delicacies caught my attention and must recommend when you visit this temple city.
1) ILANEER SHARBAT - made with fresh tender coconut , it's malai and madurai's own SHARBAT syrup. This is perfect ???? summer drink .
2) Madurai's signature JIGARDHANDA (coolness straight to heart) from famous jigarthanda the brand that's killing it. Made with their home made ice cream, malai, sea weed resin and few more ingredients n voila this summer charm gets to your ???? straight.
3) Big sucker of coffee and had to visit this legendary visalam coffee shop (70 yr old legacy) made with palm jaggery and their secret coffee blend. After a sip I can confidently say "BEAT THAT !!"
