Ajanta & Ellora Caves, are the two wonders created in the central part of India by unknown artisans centuries ago. It is a unique experience to visit Ajanta and Ellora Caves. Ajanta and Ellora Caves are situated in different locations. Ajanta Caves are located 100 km away from Aurangabad and Ellora Caves lies 30 km away from the city. These UNESCO World Heritage sites have a different speciality. Ajanta Caves are purely Buddhist Caves, on the other hand, Ellora Caves are Buddhist as well as Hindu and Jain Caves. So, there is a trinity of religions in Ellora Caves. 2-day tour to Ajanta and Ellora Caves is a great option as it gives you hassle-free journey to caves. You can also visit Aurangabad's unique places on this tour to enhance your experience. - Treebo Trend Yuvraj (2-star) in Aurangabad, or similar
- Ajanta Caves (you can start with Ellora Caves in case you're looking for less travelling on the first day and visit Ajanta on the second day)
- 07:00 am: Meet our representative at the airport/station
- Attend a brief introduction about the tour and departure by a private vehicle
- 10:00 am: Reach Ajanta parking stand
- Get a transfer to the caves from Parking Stand by a government bus (No private vehicle is allowed for this 10 minutes long journey)
- Meet cave guide at Ajanta Caves ticket checking counter
- Only important and significant caves are explained by the guide, you can visit all the caves if you wish to
- Generally, 3 to 4 hours are required to explore caves
- You can take more time as per your interest
- 3:00 pm: Return back to the parking stand and start your return journey
- Food is available at the restaurants around (at your own cost)
- We provide limited fresh fruits during the return journey
- As per the availability of time, you will be offered a free tour to the stunning Rock Temple/Local Village and farm
- Enjoy a bullock cart ride to enhance your experience
- 5:00 pm: Start return journey towards Aurangabad
- Reach Aurangabad and overnight stay at the hotel (at your own cost)
- 8 am: Pick up from your hotel in Aurangabad and departure by a private vehicle
- On arrival, meet our expert guide at Ellora
- 9 am: Explore important caves, starting from Buddhist caves
- Visit the Little Kailash, Jain Caves (or vice a versa)
- Visit Kailasa Temple and know more about it from the expert guide
- Halt for small breaks
- Later, visit Daulatabad Fort (2 hours)
- 3 pm: Start your return journey towards Aurangabad
- Arrive in Aurangabad and visit Little Taj known as Bibi Ka Maqbara
- Later you will be dropped at the airport/station for onward journey
