This is a place which was first discovered by the hippies and is situated in the Northern part of Goa. This is a beach known to be one of the most popular in Goa and is surrounded by the Calangute Beach on one side and the Anjuna Beach on the other side. The Baga Beach starts from where the Calangute Beach ends though the place cannot be exactly pin pointed. This is also a shoppers paradise with all sorts of flea markets and the fresh seafood is wow over here. Also, you can enjoy a number of water sports and activities in this beach area such as jet skiing, para sailing, surfing and others. The people around here are always in a festive mood and dance and music are a major part of their culture here. They have carnivals during christmas and New Year too. Also, the people here are very religious and the main religion followed here is Christianity. The lifestyle here is a blend of Indian and Portuguese to a large extent. This is a stunning evidence of the fact that Goa was under the rule of Portuguese colonies till even a decades ago before it was taken over by the Indian Government.

One of the most popular as well as one of the most charming locations of Bardez, this is one out of the main beaches of the region. Especially, after the sun sets, the beach is beautifully lit up and so are the food shacks around. Carnivals are also organized here periodically and being here is absolutely blissful. If you feel the place is too crowded, the secret is that the region on the northern end of the beach where you find the main carpark or the mouth of the river is mostly crowded. This is because most of the water activity rentals are found over here. If you walk for about 15 minutes from here you will find the crowd thinning out and the beach becoming even more beautiful and peaceful. Besides the scenic beauty, the beach is also cleaner on this part and the water is cleaner too. The warm waters of the Baga Beach are not only fit for water sports but also for some swimming and beach games before that.
BRITTO’S BAR AND RESTAURANT- one for all the foodies out there India is world renowned for its lip-smacking and finger licking good food. Goa lives up to this reputation and doesn’t fail to provide a whole array of food choices to satiate the foodie in you. Since Goa has Portuguese influence written all over its history, biography and geography, food is no exception. Britto’s is a food shack on Baga beach. But don’t let the word “shack” fool you. The food here is delectable. A trip to Baga beach is incomplete without having a bite at Britto’s.
Everytime I have set foot in Goa, have never missed this Lane. You will find Resto, Spa, Clubs, Stay, Shops and the best part is end of the lane is Baga Beach and Shacks.During season time, dont even think of driving on this lane, or you will be stuck forever. Park your vehicle and take a walk. Cape Town, Kamaki and Mambos are my Favorites among the Clubs. Julma is a decent stay.
Fish Curry in this area is amazing and is recommended in any of the restaurants by the Baga River. Take a relaxing stroll on the beach near your accommodation and then straight to bed. Next two days will be more of travel than leisure. Be ready for South Goa. It will be the soul filling experience starting tomorrow.Day 3

Alidia(Alirio & Lidia)
This is probably the best place around the Baga Beach and is better known as the Alidia Beach cottages. Everything about this property is just superb. The owners are wery cooperative and try to accommodate guests even on the busiest days. The rooms are very good and clean and have awesome views from the window. The swimming pool is just in front of the cottages and the food served is awesome too. The breakfast bucket is especially a must try here. You come here once and you are sure to come here again and again.
No trip is complete without lazing around.Today was hotel changing day, I moved to other place(Bay Luxe) close to Anjuna. As I entered the place, I realized there was a pool infront of my room, that was it, it was time to get in water and relax. I opened the map and found a German Bakery at walking distance. This is the authentic German Bakery and the only one in Goa.If you are in an around Anjuna, you must not miss this place, grab a coffee, relax.

16 Degrees North
Very close to the Baga Beach, this is a 3- star hotel and is also very close to the Baga Main Market. The first good thing about this place is the luxurious setting and stay which you get at budget rates absolutely. The rooms are really good and clean and the pool is clean too. The food provided is fresh and good and the staff is really helpful at all times.
This is a restaurant cum club cum entertainment center on the shores of the baga Beach and it has now become one of the iconic locations of Goa. This place is mainly known for the party animals but had broken beyond boundaries. The uniqueness of this beach lies in the fact that only couples and women are allowed to party here. This has made it an extreme safe place in spite of the fact that alcohol is what drives the crowd here. The bold music, lights and the crowd just does not let you stay at one place. So just lift up your twinkling toes a little more and get grooving!
Tito's World Cafe
A very popular restaurant and club on the sides of the Baga Beach in North Goa, this is a must for everyone. Goa is a place which is in the moot of carnival and party all the time and Tito's just enhances this mood. Alcohol is no doubt their specialty apart from another signature fact. It is that only couples and women are allowed to party here. This rule has made them break what is the cliche of the society. The place is thus very safe for all women though many single men manage to lure women to get the experience of partying at such a location. the ambience here is awesome and you can enjoy here till your hearts' content.
