Dubai is one of our favourite holiday destination, we can come back again and again and it still seems to amaze us every single time. Every time we come here we feel we haven't explored it all and on top of that there are always billboards and advertising about what's opening next in Dubai. For instance, this time around we noticed that soon there will be a Dubai Opera and Dubai Safari. Good enough reason to return back, isn't it? I say Absolutely!

Burj Khalifa - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard - Downtown Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Day 3: Went to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Both totally worth visiting!! Dubai mall is a shopper's haven, has every possible under brand one can imagine under one roof. Also, endless eating options are available. High point of the day: Watching the fountain show from top of Burj Khalifa. Blissful!
Burj Khalifa - Downtown Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Bhurj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. It houses a restaurant - AT.MOSPHERE on the 123rd Floor and the view from there is simply breath-taking, it leaves you speechless. The food there is also amazing. There is a strict dress code of western formals at the restaurant.
The Dubai Mall - Downtown Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
I did the Shark Dive at the Dubai Mall. And it was an amazing start to my trip. Loved the one on one with the Sharks! :)
Pre booking for burj Khalifa is must. Otherwise there are no tickets available for the peak time. You can stay as long as you want at the top. It is best to be there an hour before sunset so we can enjoy every view. I.E before sunset, at the time of sunset and after that. Each view has its own charm. I booked a slot of 4;30pm and was there till 8pm. I made the most of it. Sunsets are my favorite and so it was from burj khalifa. They do offer an upgrade from 124th floor to 148th floor for more money but it hardly makes any difference. Dubai from the top is one time view.
Burj Khalifa - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Day 3: Today is all about over whelming experiences. See how the world looks like atop the tallest building in the world. This architectural wonder will only leave you marveling at the magnificent city planning and art. Post this, you have the day free to indulge in an array of options Dubai has to showcase. You can either get an adrenaline rush with jet skiing or experience a hot air balloon ride. Or get bedazzled by the beautiful gold Jewellery at the souks or simply get lost in the larger than life Malls of Dubai.
Jumeirah Beach - Jumeirah - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Plan your city tour in such a way that you don't land up at the beach during afternoon. You will spot beautiful and huge villas along the roads.
Dhow Cruise Dubai - Deira - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
From there, the Dhow cruise departs every hour and takes you to all the parts of the city along the canal. Get ready to calm your senses and enjoy the sight for an hour.
Palm Jumeirah - The Palm Jumeirah - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Palm Jumeirah – an artificial archipelago in the Persian Gulf shaped in the form of a palm tree was billed the 8th wonder of the world. You can sail around Palm Jumeirah in a yacht or a speedboat, take a stroll or just sit on the rocks and listen to the waves.
Burj Al Arab - Jumeirah - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
This was my biggest splurge on the trip. I'd seen pictures of this sail-shaped hotel in Dubai for years and always dreamed of staying there. At USD 1,000 for a single night it was a budget-buster but the two-story suite, private butler service and "princess for-a-day" experience made it well worth the expense.
Dubai Marina - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Its an amazing man made engineering marvel. It looks amazing at night. Its a man made sea with yachts and boats. Highrise buildings lined up on both sides. The view is just amazing and a testimony to how man can play with Nature. Although I won't compare it with nature which is infinitely better than anything man made :)
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Okay so I never really fancied aquatic life but the “underwater thing” pulled me in and it was really a different experience
Ibn Battuta Mall - Jebel Ali Village - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
IBN Battuta Mall is one of the most beautiful malls I have seen. IBN is the world’s largest themed shopping mall with a total space of 521,000 square meters, additional 28,000 square meters expansion is on its way. IBN Battuta Mall has 6 courts inspired by some countries: Egypt Court, India Court, China Court, Andalusia Court, Tunisia Court. My personal favorite because of its grandness – Persia Court.
This view is form dubai marina mall. This place give the best exposure to dubai's architecture and creative mind. NO building here has same infrastructure. Each building is one of its kind and marvelous. There are restaurants by the creek which severe sheesha and food. Mall of emirates is smaller than dubai mall. One can spend hours nearby the creek walking cycling or just chilling!
The Dubai Mall
Dubai Mall is paradise for people who love to shop. This is worlds largest mall. It might take a day or two to cover the whole mall. This mall is connected with Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. Variety of cuisines are available here. My personal favorite is The Cheesecake Factory. They have awesome cheesecake please do try. This mall also as a huge aquarium inside. It is an underwater zoo. You can spend as much time as you want. They also have sharks.
Dubai Miracle Garden - Arjan-Dubailand - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
This passage is very colorful and attractive. One of the things which I loved here. This garden is full of colors. I almost spend five hours in Miracle garden and it was worth it. Sunset is the best time to be there. People who love flowers and nature will go crazy here like my parents. This garden is close to Global Village. These two places can be covered in a day but it can be hectic as both the places involves wondering.
Mall of the Emirates - Al Barsha - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
The Mall of the Emirates is another huge shopping complex. Should shopping be your waterloo, Dubai is a place to die for. Lol. To get to the Mall of the Emirates, take the Dubai Metro Redline and get off at the Mall of the Emirates Station. It is 3 stations away from Nakheel.
Barasti Beach - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
My first solo visit was Barasti Beach bar coz that's the only thing which comes to our mind on a Saturday night. Barasti is the most well known party places there. Beach side club with beds on the sand, what else can one ask for. Quickly I grabbed something to drink and sat on the beach for a while. Wow !!! Just cant define the feeling of sitting there for hours.
Jumeirah Beach Hotel - Jumeirah Rd. - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
The dinner was held at Jumeirah Beach Hotel facing the Arabian Sea with a glittering view of Burj Al Arab by night.
World Islands - The World Islands - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
The World Islands are a cluster of tiny islands which well, form the world. The yiny islands, along with the Palm Jumeirah archipelago were formed as a plan to increase the coast line of Dubai to offer tourists more sun, surf and sand. An engineering marvel, the Islands are home to famous celebrities such as Tom Cruise, David Beckham and Shah Rukh Khan. It is a pleasant and soothing ride to these islands in the lap of the sea. With windows rolled down and mild wind playing with your hair, a trip to these archipelagos is a good way to spend half the day, most preferably the evening when the sun is mellow.
Dubai International Airport - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Day 4: End of the Tour After breakfast we head out for some last minute shopping. The same evening we head back to the Airport and take our flight back home.
IMG Worlds of Adventure - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
84. IMG Worlds of AdventureThe largest indoor theme park in the world is scheduled to open in Dubai later this year. It will have four zones, including Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley- Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard. The Dubai Mall - D 71 - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
You cannot go to Dubai and NOT see the biggest mall in the world, right?
JBR - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Since this was our last night in the UAE, we decided to go to the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) where 40 sandy colored towers light up the marina skyline at night. The sandy shores of Jumeirah beach offer al fresco dining – we chose to sit at ‘Shake Shack’ and this is my personal favorite for the best beef burgers I’ve had till date.We also tried the catch sticks at Catch 22 – you can choose from a variety of them – I liked the Teriyaki Salmon the most.JBR is also known for its stylish boutiques, handicraft shops, community events, supercars and a leisure walk along the waterfront. We noticed the ‘Turkish Ice cream’ stall here that is famous for its vendors playing tricks with the ice cream cone before finally serving it to the customer. People gather around the stall to watch his pranks and make videos that go viral on social media – I’m guilty of one myself :)We were fortunate to be in JBR at 8:30pm as it was time for the fireworks and boy was it amazing! The sky was illuminated with beautiful lights and sparkle – a night full of stars.Lock Stock & Barrel bar was next on our list. A party place that hosts live music bands. This was a perfect place to let your feet tap and groove on their music. A must visit for sure :) After dancing away the night, we were starving so we headed to the famous Lebanese eatery – Zaatar w Zeit. We started with ‘Hummus & Crackers’ which is mashed chickpeas blended with tahini sauce, served with chopped grilled vegetables and toasted multicereal crackers on the side. The ‘Pepperoni Pizza’ was made of beef slices and fresh mushroom with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Back home in India, I am known to always order Pepperoni which is made of pork but this one with beef was something else. I am definitely going back for more!If you’re here, you should definitely try the ‘Manakeesh’, it is a popular Levantine food which consists of dough topped with thyme, cheese or meat. Very similar to a pizza, it can be sliced or folded. The ‘Turkey and Cheese Wrap’ was my favorite – a classic combination of melted cheese topped with slices of smoked turkey, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo mustard. I had two of those on a full stomach and wished I could pack more for the flight back home…It was almost morning once we had satisfied our food cravings and it was time to go back to the hotel with heavy hearts and so many memories. From rooftop pubs and sizzling beach clubs to fancy cocktail caverns and concerts under the stars, Dubai’s shape-shifting party spectrum caters for just about every taste, budget and age group. If you’re planning a trip to Dubai, I hope this blog is helpful and if you already have been there, do comment below with more suggestions and places we could visit next time we are there. Thanks for stopping by :)This post was originally published on Himadri Negi.

Smooth icy flooring open for you to go skate & dance your heart out, sounds like it’s straight out of the movies? Now that’s exactly what the Dubai Ice Rink has to offer you.I remember taking Roller Skating lessons as a kid, about a decade and a half ago. But my ice skating experience was nothing like that! It was my first time at the Ice Rink, anywhere in the world, even though this was my second visit to Dubai. I always found it fancy and inspiring the way some people can effortless dance on the ice with these Ice Skates on!It was time for me to give it a shot! But wait! I did not know ice-skating…Thanks to the amazing support staff at the Dubai Ice Rink, ice-skating won’t remain an aspirational activity if you’re set to go and try!I got my skating gear on- socks, skates, helmet and a penguin (to be my support) and got right there into the ice rink to take my ice-skating lessons! My 9 year old brother who also tried ice-skating for the first time did exceptionally well by getting rid of the penguin or any kind of support by half time! Mom and I did fairly well, we almost got there but it was time up for our session!
Burj Al Arab - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Madinat Jumeirah - Jumeirah - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
It was a joy to attend Art Dubai 2009 during the Sheikh’s attendance and a small bonus that I was shown around Dubai for the lavish dinners, parties, after-parties and delightfully shallow mingling cocktail hours with Dubai’s most sought after at the time, including but not limited to: Sacha Jaffri. At the time, Sacha was a featured artist at Art Dubai 2009 and named one of the most promising and upcoming artists that year.

Burj Khalifa - Business Bay - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Burj Khalifa is spectacular at night. It is the highest towers in the world right next to the Dubai Mall. If you are lucky you can catch the last show of the musical fountains at the Dubai Mall - they are spectacular. Dubai Mall in itself is huge with an inbuilt aquarium!. But for me the lights and splendor of Burj Khalifa at night stole the show.
