The road to Kaghan Valley is a little tricky and if you don't enjoy hilly drives, do think again before heading here. The route to the valley is a little barren in the beginning but as you make your way up, you will be greeted by small villages. Shogran is a lovely spot in Kaghan Valley and a must visit. It is home to the Siri Payee Lake mountain and offers stunning views of the surrounding valley.
Perfect for trekkers and mountaineers, there are tons of peaks here to explore though you may need a little guidance depending on your expertise. Rafting is another popular activity here and though it's a little advanced since the rapids are quite fierce, it's definitely a must try.
Do also visit Balakot, Kewai and Siri and Paya. The small towns are known for their idyllic villages, refreshing scenery and warm hospitality. There are lots of hotels here ranging from budget to luxurious and the only hiccup to explore the valley are the tricky roads and unpredictable weather conditions.
Best time to visit Kaghan Valley is from April to June and from September to October
