This is a suburban Village which belonged to the British when the rest of Mumbai was with the Portuguese. The locales call it Vandre and the word Bandra is said to have originated from the Urdu/ Parsi word Bandar meaning a provibce or a city. It was once just a fishing village and now the development is so much here that many of the celebrity houses are found in this region. It is at present a posh locality of outer Mumbai. The graffiti on the walls is also a contribution of the British rule as the culture is completely western and was adapted during that time. Apart from many educational institutions and attractions, the St. Mary Church is the most visited place here.
Bar Stock Exchange
Chilling at the bar stock exchange is like playing an interactive happy hours game where drink prices increases and decreases depending on customer demands. Prices increase as more customers order the same drink and decrease if fewer customers order. This creates an ambiance similar to the stock exchange market with prices guided by demand and supply.
Fresh crabs with a Polynesian-style tiki bar is the USP of Bastian. The restaurant does feature an equal amount of vegetarian fare on the menu, but the seafood is the star. Bastian makes almost everything in-house—from sauces to breads and even their bar menu, has replaced bottled syrups with fresh variants.

Sacred Heart Church
This is a church which is situated on the southern boulevard of Pondicherry and is a very old one. This was definitely built by the French colonials in the Gothic style of architecture. The maintenance of this building is worth admiring because till date when we stand in front of the church it seems to be built just a few months back. The red colour of the church makes it look very bright and it also can be seen from quite a distance. The Belgium glass detailing inside the church makes it look even more beautiful. The cleanliness over here is remarkable and the beautiful Sunday Masses are worth admiring.
