How To Reach Selangor
Book Selangor Tour Package
It’s a must visit place. Full of monkeys. Cave is really amazing from inside. The best part is the location. It’s a Hindu temple but visited by every tourist who come to KL. Take KTM commuter directly to BATU Caves from KL Sentral (2 RM each). You need to climb 272 steps to reach the Limestone Cave.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport Sepang Selangor Malaysia
After Singapore and Langkawi, I didn't find KL as interesting as the other two but nonetheless the city does offer a lot of attractions.Once you land at Kuala Lumpur and check in at the hotel, you can head to Batu Caves. Take a LRT to KL Sentral and then a commuter train to Batu caves. It takes half an hour to reach there from KL Sentral.
While visiting South America's Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, might not be the most economically feasible option for most travellers, Malaysia has been hiding someplace inexpensive and just as spectacular if not more, for way too long now.Sasaran closely resembles the illustrious Salar de Uyuni salt flats of Bolivia. This beach, awash with seagulls, is located in the state of Kuala Selangor and offers travellers and photographers a breathtaking seascape of endless sea, mirroring the skies above. Sasaran is only flocked by tourists twice a month, that is, during the new moon and full moon durations. The magnificent sky mirror phenomena happens only a few select days of every month – during the 1st and 15th of a lunar month, and four days before and after these days.
The Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica cistern are all within walking distance of one another. A quick metro ride into the Sultanahmet area and I was at the famed Blue Mosque. I draped myself in a kaftan they provided at the entrance and spent the rest of my time sitting inside on it's carpeted floors, gaping at the intricate tiling and art work, while trying to get spiritual.
Friends The Restaurant
We had wanted to head over to Romdeng after drinks at the FCC, but when we called it was fully booked, so we reserved our table for the next night, and instead headed over to their sister restaurant called Friends which was just a few hundred metres inland from FCC. They didn't have room for us, but I asked when they would, and they said in about 15min. So some of us waited whilst others headed over to the 711. This place was high on my friend BeirutiBrit 's list of places she wanted to try as she had been to the Siem Reap branch. It is run as a charity to train ex-street children in the restaurant business. So an utterly worthy cause in a country previously torn apart by war and still quite poor. What kind of food can you expect at Friends? A combo of Western and Eastern inspired tapas and some special emu main courses.... so basically you can expect just about anything!
The Mines Shopping Mall Jalan Dulang MINES Resort City Seri Kembangan Selangor Malaysia
This was a mall right next to where we were staying. We ate here quite often since Kuala Lumpur has no vegetarian food!
Sepang International Circuit Sepang Selangor Malaysia
I was here for the 2014 Formula One race. Great variety of food available. A bit costly though. View from my seat was good but the lack of TV screens made it difficult to keep track of the action on the other end of the track. Heavy rains on the Saturday so do make sure you pack a rain coat because it might rain any time.
Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall Petaling Jaya Malaysia
This is a very big shopping mall with shopping and f&b in the Sunway vicinity ie walking distance from Sunway Lagoon. You will probably get lost walking in this mall as there are different towers.
Sunway Lagoon Petaling Jaya Malaysia
Sunway Lagoon consist of multi-parks which you can choose over 2 days. There are a total of 5 different parks ie water park, amusement park, wildlife park, extreme park and scream park. I covered all 4 parks except scream park over the span of 2 days. Water park is fairly big and we spend a day there. For the other 3 parks, we managed to complete it in a day. Special recommendation: please try the 5D water ride in the water park!
Eu Yan Sang Jalan SS 2/67 Petaling Jaya Selangor Malaysia
Project Ann Siang is a uniquely styled boutique hostel nestled in a culturally rich environment. Decked out with contemporary paintings and illustrations, customised beds and featuring a terrace whereby the best of Chinatown is in plain sight. Project Ann Siang at the Eu Yan Sang colonial shop house building formely housed Eu Yan Sang's first medical shop established back in 1910, adding an interesting historical fact to the beautiful architecture. Many attraction points and amenities reside nearby, such as the Tooth Relic temple, Chinatown Food Street and the watering holes along Club Street.
KL Tower Kuala Lumpur Selangor Malaysia
This massive structure is also situated in the heart of the city and every-time you see it, you’d keep wondering: ‘What is in there?’ (We were in awe as well). It is a 421m tall broadcasting and telecommunications tower which is one of the highest in the world. If you get the time, you should in fact go to the revolving restaurant or its observation deck to get the best views of the city.
Melawati Hill at Kuala Selangor, was the erstwhile administrative centre of the Selangor Sultanate in the late 18th and early 19th century. Remnants of a fort once built as a refuge from the Dutch, a lighthouse, tombstones of royalty, and several cannons can still be found here. Bukit Melawati was designated as a historical monument and historical site under the Antiquities Act 1976.While on top of the hill, you will be greeted with majestic views of the complete Selangor coastline. On a clear day, the Straits of Malacca and a few fishing settlements are also visible.
Taman Alam Megah Shah Alam Selangor Malaysia
Kuala Selangor Nature Park, or Taman Alam is home to a multitude of flora and fauna, composed of nearly 200 hectares of coastal land of which a huge chunk is occupied by mangrove swamps.
