Travelling to Langkawi Island- The best part of my Malaysia TripMorning ferry at 9Am, I reached Langkawi Island at around 12.30-1.00 pm. Langkawi Island has no public transport system and one has to either use taxi, uber, Grab or rent a scooter. I had reserved a hostel named "Backstreet Monkey Backpacker Hostel" located near Cenang beach through Booking.com. Pantai Cenang beach is approx 20 kms from Ferry point.I inquired about places to visit in Langkawi, things to do, mode of transport in langkawi island at the tourism of Malaysia office located right outside the ferry terminal. They give unbiased information and suggested me to rent a scooter.Renting a scooter was the best part of exploring Langkawi Island. I rented a Yamaha scooter from ferry terminal which costed me RM 50 and a RM 100 as deposit for a day. Isn't that cheap? Petrol in Langkawi is super super cheap. A litre of petrol costs just approx Rs 30-35. YESSSS! You pay first at the petrol station and fill up the tank yourself!
