About Tiracol

Tiracol, a quaint picturesque town of North Goa is home to idyllic beaches, a historically important fort and a church. It is a beach-front town located on the northern tip of Goa, overlooking the Arabian sea. In this town, masked in anonymity, stands Fort Terekhol. If the idea of visiting a fort doesn't excite you, this one will. This fort is one of the few coastal forts in India, situated on a hill top. Located at the mouth of river Terekhol, the fort overlooks the confluence of Terekhol River and the Arabian Sea. This small but strategic fort is home to a chapel and church. The church dedicated to St. Andrews, is accessible to public only on a few occasions like that of the annual feast, which usually takes place in the month of May. Parts of this fort have been converted into a heritage hotel, which means you can also stay in the fort. It overlooks the beautiful Keri beach, offering stunning views to travellers. If you feel like exploring more of the town, you can go coast cruising or dolphin sighting as well.
