12th June 2016Finland, Helsinki --> Stockholm, SwedenTime :- 5:15 PmI missed my cruise to Stockholm booked for €4 and the start point of my europe journey. I became numb. After a pause, my mind started boggling what to do next. I talked to the lady at counter, came to know next ship would depart from Turku (Finland) which is 2 hrs from finland and I have only 30 min to catch the train to reach there and 10 min to catch the ship from turku station to turku harbour. I took the decision to take this ship at any cost cause it was the start of my europe journey . Paid extra 70 euros and ran to catch the train.Anyhow, I managed to get a ticket and had to spend the next 2 hours in train. But these two hours turned out to be a like those 70 mins of Sharukh khan's 'Chakh de' where the team would have had something else in their destiny, had they lost their final match. I felt as if I have lost my hunger, my bp, sugar levels have reached their peak. Finally, I reached turku station and ran with my backpack shouting for taxi. Finally managed to get one to harbour and reached harbour in 6 mins and saved myself by 4 mins to losing this ship also.Mammoth in size, cruise 'Viking line' was there welcoming its guests and I was one of them. I must tell you, this was the best experience of my whole trip. I climbed on to the top floor of ship to sit in calm and peace, after so much fight to get this ship.

Stepping into Tallinn is like entering a real-life fairy tale. Cobblestone streets, narrow alleyways, red roofed houses, open air theaters, museums and local markets — Tallinn is pure joy. Also, don't forget, if one wants to enjoy Midsummer celebrations, Tallinn is the place to be!Getting around in TallinnWalk! Discovering Old Town in Tallinn is best done on foot. Honestly, that's the hub of tourism and most backpackers decide to stay there because of cost-effectiveness. If venturing outside, then the best options are bus and trams because it's very cheap. It doesn't really make sense to hire taxis. If one wants to go for a day trip to Finland, just take a ferry ride across! Remember, the euro is used in Estonia.Accommodation in TallinnThe Old Town is filled with hostels and has many a price range. If hostels aren't your scene, then the next best bet is Airbnb. Most tourist locations are in the vicinity and night life is pretty on point. What to eat in TallinnThe food scene in Tallinn is vast. From sandwiches to meat, Chinese to even Indian! But to get an authentic taste of Estonia, try Elk soup, flaky pork patty and local beer! The best place to indulge would be Old Town where there are plenty of restaurants and food stalls.
