We did a 1 day trek to Mount Pinatubo, dipped in the crater lake and ended the session with a relaxing mud spa! A 4×4 jeep dropped off us off at the start of our trekking point where we had to trek approximately another 1.5hours to the crater lake. (there is a shorter option actually, where they will drop you further in and you’ll only have to walk 30mins to the lake).
From the Lipit station in the Crow Valley based on your choice of the hiking trail earlier, the hike can take 30 mins, 1 hour or 2 hours. Either way the trek will take you through some very rocky albeit flat terrain. The volcanic eruption has resulted in some truly spectacular rock formations in the landscape. With the numerous rivers and streams flowing through the area, coupled with rocks, the hike is tough but all the more enjoyable for it, as it finally ends in one very picturesque and breathtaking spot!
Based from other blog reviews, Talisayen Beach seems to be an ideal place for an island lunch. Most island tours stop here for lunch before continuing to the second leg of island hopping. The beach has fine white sand, though not as fine as 7 Commandos beach, and clear blue waters.
