Travelling have made me explore and learn a lot about the culture and food of that place. There are a lot of things that you search for when you visit a new place for,me its always been food first.
here are my top 10 places or dishes to eat when you visit these cities and i hope you will enjoy them too just like i did. #breakfastspots #IWillGoAnywhereForFood
1. NAGPUR
Nagpur is my home town and i have been living here since i was a child and i adore this place a lot.food here is quite versatile and have a lot of mixed cusine available.
if you ever come here and ask anyone what to eat to start my day perfectly , a true nagpurian will always recomment poha chana .
poha is flat rice made with spices with a hint of lemon on it and is served with masala spicy chana on the top. its a must when you are here .
2. KOLKATA
i have been to kolkata many times and it has always taught me to be happy in small things.people here are very sweet as they have lot of sweets i suppose . Except for Rasgulla, there are many more things to eat and explore in Kolkata.
some of my favourite dishes are street style chicken roll and noodles. It is a different experience all over.
Kolkata is one of the busiest and the oldest city and the food available here is very cheap and delicious every category of people whether it be very rich are very poor can sustain in Kolkata easily that is why it is a city of joy.
3.BANARAS
I have recently been to Banaras also known as Kashi City and I have never seen a city like this ever even though I have been to Banaras a lot of times this time was something special something different because I got to see the Ganga Aarti for the first time and that view from the boat seeing the aarti was immensely peaceful. There were there around 10,000 people watching that same Aarti with so much of enthusiasm in so much hot weather but there was no negativity around ,it was very peaceful and so the food of this place is also the same it will never disappoint you. I did hear a lot about Kashi chat centre and I was not able to find it but eventually I got it .
They serve one of the best chaats in Banaras but for me it was one of the best chat I have ever tried .if you ever get a chance to visit Banaras this is the first place you must visit.
I've also tried the tea which they serve in front of Kashi chat Centre, the speciality of the tea is that they put Tulsi leaves in that . which enhances the flavour to another level .
Being between thousands of people and still enjoying it as much as possible ,this was a lifetime experience and I will never forget it.
It is such a small hill station yet so beautiful I went to this place while I was on a road trip to Uttarakhand and this was our first stop. we were there for two nights and it was cold and the weather was so awesome . There were some restaurants and Street foods I really wanted to explore.
Some of my favorite places were sakley's Bakery I chose this place because it was one of the oldest bakeries in Nainital and they were still using the same recipes which were used during the British time when it was first newly opened. Its famous for its banana toffee pastry and oh my god it was one of the best Sweet dishes I've ever tried.
I literally went there four times and I cannot tell you how much I want to recommend this place to you just for that banana toffee pastry, it was soft creamy And buttery The biscuit crust was so yummy.
5.RISHIKESH
I went to this place last November and it is also quite a small city . I have never seen so many foreigners even in Banaras or in any religious place like I have seen here, the reason why there were so many foreigners here was because it is one of the yoga places in India where you can come and relax and learn yoga, therefore the crowd.
we started our day here with some healthy breakfast options, when I searched where should I visit, I found this Bakery called devraj German bakery which was located near the Laxman Jhula the view from that Bakery was so beautiful, you could see the temple you could see the Ganga flow and the Laxman Jhula.
It was really beautiful and it was very minimal kind of Cafe we ordered quite a lot of things . Some of my favourite dishes I would suggest you to order was the pancakes , it was not fluffy it was flat pancakes it was like crepes but delicious also tried their parathas i, really liked the onion paratha also tried their cheesecake which was made from yak's milk and also tried their yak cheese vegetable sandwich.
6. AHMEDABAD
It's been long since I visited Ahmedabad and I still remember the restaurant I tried there because the food served was so nice and delicious and the ambiance of the place was so elegant and so Royal that I cannot forget that place.
If ever I again visit Ahmedabad this will be the first place I will go again, and that place is Gordhan Thaal ,they serve veg Thali which comprises of lot of goodness packed in one place. It generally comprises of dtwo three kinds of vegetables then 2 3 kind of parathas and purees and 2 3 kind of sweet dishes. They also serve chaat and lassi for the extra.
The prize was around 325 person when I visited this place which was in December 2017 and if you ever ever visited Ahmedabad this is the first place you should explore even if you are not a vegetarian because me being a hard core non vegetarian person is saying it's worth a try .Ahmedabad is one of the fastest moving cities I've seen .I went to this place when I was on the road trip for Gujarat and this was our first and the last stop to go around Gujarat.
7. Hyderabad
what comes in your mind when you say Hyderabad, I know everyone said biryani .it's obvious when you visit Hyderabad you have to have biryani or else your trip will always be incomplete. you get the best chicken biryani or mutton biryani in paradise which is the Biryani chain I will say present in every part of Hyderabad , they have I think a lot of outlets now all over Hyderabad.
One more place I would really like to recommend is the Karachi Bakery which produces a lot of cookies and breads and different sweets and items. personally I like the cookies and biscuits which they havee and we bought literally tons of biscuits and cookies from there .
you get the same branding packaging some places outside Hyderabad but you won't get all the flavours and there were hundreds if options available to choose from when you personally go to the outlet.
9. Rameshwaram
I personally went to this place for seeing the Shivling but when I reached there, I got to know that there are many more places I could visit in Rameshwaram so we took an auto to visit the whole city, this place is also known for the birthplace APJ Abdul Kalam .
when you go to Dhanushkodi beach you see a lot of fisherman selling fresh fishes, marinating it for you and cooking it for you in front of you and OMG that was my favourite fried fish.
I've also visited Chennai and also have tried fish from the Marina beach but they don't feel and taste fresh and this which I tried in Dhanushkodi beach was the freshest fish and delicious fish ever tried .they literally take 15 minutes to cook it for you.
The best part is you yourself get to know what exactly are you going to eat when you see that profession front of you they literally marinated and cooked in front of you so you will never have any doubt and it's the purest form you can have it, it's a must try if you ever go to Rameshwaram ,do not miss this.
10. Mumbai
I have kept the best for the last I stayed in Mumbai for three years for during my engineering studies and I have tried many restaurants and street food as well.
Weather it be canon Pav Bhaji or Juhu Chaupati Ice Gola or Kirti vada pav . My recommendation for today is not just one place but 3. Firstly you decide whether you like Pizzas more or burgers more. if you choose pizza then you should go to joey's Pizza for their butter chicken pizza
and if you choose burger you should go to jimis burger to try the jawbreakers
and if you want some street food you should must visit Mohammed Ali road. where you can choose between kebabs, phirni masala milk ,seekh kabab or baida roti ,you have multiple options to choose from.
These places which I have suggested have my whole heart . I know I would visit these recommended place again and again and i hope these suggestions help everyone and if you get to visit and place do tell me in the comments below.
