Tawang Monastery, Arunachal Pradesh

The Tawang Monastery in Arunachal Pradesh is the second largest monastery in the world and the largest in India. Ravangla, Sikkim

Jampui Hills, Tripura

The Jampui Hills in Tripura are located at relatively low elevation of 3,000 feet in the northern part of the state. The piece de resistance of the hills is the magnificent views of the neighboring Mizoram. The hills provide vantage points to witness sunrise and sunset that are truly incredible.

Shillong, Meghalaya

Khonghampat Orchidarium, Manipur

The Khonghampat Orchidarium in Manipur is remarkable on two counts. The place is run by the government and the place is replete with 110 varieties of orchids. The uniqueness of the orchidarium is the resemblance of some species of orchids to creatures such as bees, moths and lizards.
