Aliens exist, or do they? The debate is age-old, timeless and for now, endless. Here are a few sites and places in the world that apparently support the theory of extraterrestrials in this universe (or any other).

The Nazca Desert in Peru holds an unexplained collection of more than 800 long, straight, white lines apparently in random places. These lines form etchings of animals and geometric shapes on gigantic scale and the largest of them measures around 1,200 feet. The markings are so big that the formed images are visible only through the aerial view of these markings. What makes them truly mystifying is precision and the fact that every detailed image comes out of a single, unbroken line. People have drooled and gazed at the magnificence of these lines for ages, often crediting extraterrestrials for their formation and the motives behind it.

Egypt's world-famous pyramids are literally a work of magic, if alien involvement is not considered. Experts state that these pyramids line up exactly with the Orion Constellation, involving a level of precision almost impossible for human artisans. Moreover, the size of the pyramid corresponds to the brightness of the star in Orion it coincides with. If that was not enough, the condition of these pyramids seems impeccable when compared to other pyramids of similar age.

Presenting one of the most Instagrammable spots on Earth - Machu Picchu in Peru! Built with precision and techniques much ahead of its time, even expert astronauts and historians have failed to understand the concept behind the construction of this piece. Despite the availability of smaller stones at that time, huge railway wagon-size blocks were used at the first of the three levels of construction. Nothing can be said with certainty and aliens seem to be the only workable reason to explain this one-of-a-kind building ideology.

This monument in Wiltshire, England is another prehistoric element of magnificence raising curiosity levels since it was first discovered. With 25-ton stones standing 13 feet tall, building them would not have been easy. While nothing can be said for certain, Swiss author Erich von Daniken believed it to be a launching pad for aliens.

Next on the list is the ancient Mesoamerican city located in a sub-valley of the Valley of Mexico. The size, age and complexity of the monument make it appear to be an extra-terrestrial creation. A city that could house more than 100,000 people at the time of its foundation would have been nothing less than a spectacle, though there are weak arguments of possible human technology involved too.

Sacsayhuaman, a fortress in Cusco, Peru, is apparently more than 1,000 years old. With walls made out of huge dry stones, its construction has always been a subject of debate. While some historians point towards the possibility of aliens involved in its making, others support the chances of Killke and Inca civilisations responsible for this one.

Easter Island in Chile is famous for its nearly 1000 monumental human statues, called moai. While some credit the early Rapa Nui people as the creators, a popular belief states that extraterrestrials were the architects for such bizarre artwork.

The megalithic stones at Puma Punku in Bolivia bend the traditional viewpoints on ancient cultures. With unbelievable precision, smooth finishing and polished surfaces, this historical site has defied conventions for centuries. The Andesite stones are cut with great detail and so much precision that they stay in place without the use of mortar. Scholars, historians and scientists of all times have failed to unlock this mystery. The locals believe this to be a gift from the Gods that once descended from heaven. Need I say more?

Discovered comparatively recently by the Viking 1 orbiter in 1976, a two-mile long face on Mars was located in the smooth plains of the Martian north. In 2001, NASA's Mars Global Surveyor decided to take another good look at the face and concluded that it was just another Martian mesa or tableland.
