This year we decided to go to Nainital. Even though this trip was pre planned but a series of unfortunate events made it unplanned one. But these last minute shenanigans made this trip unforgettable.
We were supposed to leave delhi at 4 am in the morning. But our cab driver bailed on us at the last moment. Still after searching for cab and then finally finding one,we took off from delhi at 10 in the morning.
On our way we made a stop at GadGanga.This was my first time there and i saw people taking a dip in the holy water of Ganga.
After our stop we went straight for Nainital.
On our way to nainital we also took a wrong route because of google navigation.But moments like these have their own fun.
Finally at 8 in the night we reached the beautiful mall road of Nainital. The best part of reaching Nainital is the first thing that you see its big and surreal Naini lake. The naini lake looks picturesque every time of day.
We had to change our hotel when we reached there and it is another long story.
As soon as we reached naintal, i was not tired any more. But we all had to get our share of
rest.
Next day we all got up early and made a start . I really loved walking on the mall road with a beautiful lake at its side. We decided to explore the lakes of nainital and every lake suprised us with its our own beauty. After a whole of viewing lakes,our evening was spent wandering on the mall road.
Next day ,we wanted to explore more. One of the best places there is the snow view point. We took trolley to go to the top. It was filled with little bit snow. The view of naini lake from the top is breathtaking. After spending our time there the next stop was eco cave gardens and the tiffin top or lover's point. Eco cave gardens was an adventerous place . Tiffin top had one of the picturesque views . At the end we decided to go to the famous Ghodakhal ka mandir. The place filled me with hopes that may be wishes do come true. The mandir is famous for the hundreds of bells there. It is said that if you ask for something there and the wishe comes true,then you must come back and tie the bell. I was astonished to see the numbers of bells there.
It seems weird but the things we did in the last day is usually done on the first day. We finally went to the naina devi temple and did boating on the lake. The temple has a pretty view of lake. After visting the temple and boating,it was our time to bid goodbye to this beautiful town and head towards jim corbett. The way to jim corbett has a lot of twist and turns. But the experience of taking a jungle safari is out of the world. We were not lucky enough to witness a tiger but we did encounter wild elephants. Everything about this travel was perfectly imperfect.
