When I traveled to one of the unexplored place of Malaysia, Borneo, I had around 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur as a stopover. 24 hours in a city are very less time to actually know the city, but it is also quite enough time to explore the best and top attraction.
Places which you can visit in Kuala Lumpur in 24 hours.
Petronas Twin Tower
The main and most important attraction of KL is the Petronas Twin Tower. One of the tallest tower in Southeast Asia, Towers give you the view of an entire KL city. The location is the tower is in the heart of the city and is in the prime location from which all the other places are nearby.
10 minutes drive from Petronas Twin Tower, KL Tower is one of the tallest radio towers in Southeast Asia. Though it is smaller than Twin Tower, but the view from KL Tower is equally mesmerizing. The best part of KL Tower is open air observation deck. At night, the view of KL Tower is breathtaking as it features a side view of Twin Tower.
When time is less, it is better to do only one of the two towers so that you get more time to see other places. Dilemma people face is to choose which tower. View from KL Tower is good as it features Twin Tower, but going to KL and not going up to Twin Tower is unimaginable.
So choose Twin Tower first, KL Tower second!
Right outside the Patronas twin tower building is a huge KLCC park. It is quite big and well maintained park. For people with kids, it is the best place for them to spend some time. It features a pool and also rides in the garden. For teens, it has small hut kind of place where they can chill. For the fitness enthusiast, the park has a track for them to run or walk. After all the sightseeing, it is time for shopping and eating. Bukit Bintang is the best place to do both. It has apart from mall and restaurant, an option for street food. It has an entire lane of pocket friendly restaurants. For non-vegetarian, it is a best place to eat seafood along with other delicacies.
If you have less time in city, best option is to head over to Twin Tower, spend time on the Observation Deck and the bridge which will take around 1-2 hours then go to other places around.
Obviously, you have many more places to visit in Kuala Lumpur.
