Ever since I saw my first snowfall in Feb of 2016, there was this yearning in my heart that I have to see snow at least once every year. Lucky me I got to see it thrice in 2016, namely in Shimla, Manali and Kazakhstan. Unlucky me I didn't get to see it even once in 2017.
I remember checking the weather forecast like a maniac to see whether it had snowed anywhere in the north. In Feb of 2018, I called up a random hotel in Manali just to check if it had snowed there. Yeah I am crazy that way????. But lo & behold the guy was like yes it has snowed and Manali looks like it's covered in a white blanket. I immediately booked 2 flight tickets (for me and my mom) for that day itself and was in Manali some 24 hours later and the flight cost and the 14 hour road journey from Delhi was all worth it. Because Manali looked like a winter wonderland and I would do it all over again just to witness the sheer beauty of a snow covered town.
