After a long and lousy drive all the way from New Delhi ,via Chandigarh we finally arrived Manali around 6 in the morning as we started our trip late evening .We checked in the hotel and had a sound sleep.Around 12 noon we started towards Solang Valley to enjoy the snow activities moreover it was just To have fun as the spot for skiing was too small and too much crowded.Activities which can be done at Solang Valley are ,Rafting ,Trekking ,Camping ,Skiing ,Paragliding.
So,later we came back and in the evening had a wonderful time at Mall road ,Manali.You can also visit the famous Hadimba temple uphill the Mall road .Later we had our dinner at one of the Tibetan restuarant in Mall road and the food was mouth watering.
The next day we started around 10 in the morning towards Kasol.later that day we decided to stay on a Riverside Camp next to Parvati River. The night was chilled and playing our guitar ,having a good time surrounded to a bonfire close by our tent area.The management of the place was beautifully done along with a nice dinner on board.The cost of the stay including dinner was 1000 INR per person which was reasonable.
ROHTANG PASS
Today we headed towards ROHTANG pass which was closed but went till the last check post point .As in order to go Rohtang Pass one needs to apply for a permit in advance.As it was closed so we rented some snow clothes and boots costing 200INR each set and had fun playing with snow.
In winters, the pass remains closed but is open from June to October for motor vehicles. This pass is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley. The best time to visit the pass is between May/June to October/November.
After we headed back towards Manali and checked in the hotel which was at a nice location close by Hadimba Temple.As tomorow we had to return back to Delhi so we had some get together that night gossiping about the trip. Tomorrow around 1200 noon we headed towards Delhi .
