1. Acadia National Park - Maine

Maine is absolutely beautiful year-round, but for most of the year, is too cold. This makes it the perfect park to visit during summer! At Acadia, you get to be one of the first people to see sunrise in the United States on Cadillac Mountain. If hiking isn't for you, no worries - its a quick 10 minute drive up a winding road. After you're done taking in the choppy coasts and lush forests, make a pit stop in nearby Bar Harbor and pick up your favorite blueberry product!

2. Smoky Mountains National Park - Tennessee

If greenery is your preferred surroundings, then look no further than the Smoky Mountains. As one of the largest parks in the United States, there's rolling hills and gorgeous peaks as far as the eye can see. The variety in elevation also makes for a large variety in flora and fauna. Because there's so much to see, doing an extended trip is a good idea. For lodging, check out Mountain Air Cabin Rentals - it's been called the best place to rent a cabin in the Smoky Mountains and the staff is very friendly and very helpful.

3. Grand Canyon National Park - Arizona

What list would be complete without the Grand Canyon? Known to inspire awe in all that gaze upon it's grandeur, the Grand Canyon's colorful landscapes make for the perfect summer trip. See Grand Canyon from different angles and experience a new, spectacular view every time! Cool off from the hot Arizona sun with a hike along (an in!) the Colorado River. If for some crazy reason you get tired of this park, there's many other parks nearby to enjoy!

4. Everglades National Park - Florida

For a geological change of pace, check out the Everglades! It's climate and location allow for many different and diverse ecosystems - this makes it a favorite among animal lovers and plant enthusiasts alike. Slather on some bug spray and your ready for a full day of excitement! Get your camera ready because there's truly no place else quite like it.

Whichever park you end of choosing from this list, don't forget to pack the essentials - a healthy dose of adventure and a love for Mother Nature!
