Chillika lake: it is the largest brackish water lagoon of Asia, and also famous for its scenic grandeur. Chilka lies in the south – eastern sea coast of Bay of Bengal. Barkul & Rambha are two entry points from where the scenic beauties of the lake can be enjoyed. There are few rocky islands inside the lake and one such island is called Kalijai. Daringbadi: Daringbadi is called the kashmir of Odisha. It is the only place in Orissa which experiences snowfall during winter. Deomali: This is the highest & largest mountain peak of Odisha, located in the Pottangi Block of Koraput District in the State of Odisha, At approx 1672 metres above sea level, it is the highest peak in Odisha as well as of the Eastern Ghats of India.
Gahirmatha Beach: The beach separates the Bhitarkanika mangroves from the Bay of Bengal and is the world's largest nesting point for Olive Ridley Turtles. This is one of the unique place in India as well as in World. During winter (Between November to February) hues number of turtles migrates from South America, Newzealand and Sri Lanka. One can see the beautiful mating, nesting process of sea turtle in a clear moonlight during winter.
Gopalpur Beach: Gopalpur is also known as Gopapur On Sea, it is a famous sea beach of Ganjam District of Odisha State. Gopalpur situated arond 20 kms away from Berhampur. Once it was known to be a busy sea port. Being a quiet, relaxed place most of the tourist spent times on leisure, one can really enjoy the roar of the waves of the pristine sea and the breeze bustling through the palm trees.
