Well, I just came across this post on the Ultimate Travel Hacks to save lots of money on International Flights. So, I thought, it is time that I must go ahead and share some more effective ways to do that. Some of you may be already knowing this, but I guess, for the others who have not yet started to think that traveling long term is cheaper and very much possible, it goes for them:-

#1. You Do Not Always Need A Travel Credit Card

I have been trying to work out on a travel hack program for Indian travelers for quite some time now. When I started my search about a year back, I met the guru of travel Hack- Matt Kepnes of Nomadic Matt, who has written several books on travel hacking and has been doing travel hack for years now. Before I purchased his famous book 'The Ultimate Guide to travel Hacking' and How to Travel the World In $50 a Day I wanted to ask him questions and check on how I can begin my journey on travel hacking, because I really want to do it, and get it out to millions of fellow travel blogger's like me, for whom the first and the last question is 'Money'. But I was slightly set back when I got the reply from the horse's mouth- you need a credit card for that, and there's not much you can do about travel hack in India.

I still needed answers though and continued my search. I realized credit card is NOT always the answer. Any card service providing company needs to give you payback points on your purchases, but they never tell you that you pay 24% per annum on those purchases. Even before you know about it, all your savings will be sucked out in paying credits. That's not what we want here.

If you really want to use a card, then even debit card is enough- as there are ways by which you can get your payback points, without paying credits to card companies. So hold on to your seat-belts while I tell you more.

#2. Signing Up With The Frequent Flying Program

Presently, the Jet Airways has come up with its unique Frequent Flying Program that allows you to accumulate loads of Frequent  Flying Miles on their account, by doing simple things after you sign up on your account.

Jet Airways has partnered with more than 40+ airlines that allow you to use your Frequent Flying Registration Number and FF Miles while booking flights with them. All you need to do is ' Change the way you spend your money' from now on, if you are seriously looking for a travel hack.

With the Jet Airways Jetprivilege accountyou can easily make upto 3000 Miles a month and get ready to take your first flight in a span of 6 months. An average domestic flight needs anywhere between 5000-10000 Miles, and International Flights start from 10000- 250000 Miles. Do you see what I am talking about. Hold on some more time, I see, you are sweating with excitement.

#3. Do you know that booking a hotel can earn you Miles

Yes, next time you book a trip, try to book it through your Jet Privilege account. With some of the well-known travel companies such as booking.com partnered with the Jet Privilege account, you can easily make 5-10 JP Miles per Rs.100/- spent on the services that you use. You can also use the services of OYO Rooms to book cheaper hotels deals and still get credited with FF Miles on your purchase. So, Rs.3000/- spent on your hotel stay can earn you 150-300 JP Miles on your account.

#4. Shopping with a Purpose

I always suggest people who ask me- shop with a purpose and convert your necessities into luxury. Imagine that you spend your money buying so many things every year. What if I tell you that you can convert them into FF Miles for our next international travel. I always think that every penny you invest should give you the returns that you have been looking for.

Payback.in another partner of JetPrivilege allows you to convert your necessities into luxury. Next time you plan to buy your mobile phone, home electronics, books and magazines, stationery etc, consider also to convert money spent on them into FF Miles with your payback purchase points. On an average, a student's annual expenses go up to Rs. 75000/- to Rs.100000/- on such essential purchases. Imagine converting them into FF Miles, that too without a credit card. Makes sense huh!!

#5. Cut Down Your International Stay by 50% With International Hostelling

Do you know that for travelers like you and me, there is an International Hostel Facility, a not-for-profit organization that does not only comes at a terribly cheaper price, but does not compromise at all on your comfort. What's more - it also engages you in projects such as responsible travel, eco-tourism, sustainability projects that make your journey not only worth while, but help you connect with millions of global travelers.

You can also travel in groups and connect with hostel facilities for the cheapest accommodations in more than 100 countries. If I tell you that you can find it in India, with memberships as low as Rs.150/-. (would you leave a Thankyou message for me, then). #6. Are you a bookworm, then consider reading on a flight instead

I am a book-worm, and have been subscribing Reader's Digest for ages. When I came to know I can convert my annual subscriptions into 200 JP Miles, a delay was out of a question. Now, reading makes more sense, and I get credited with miles for my annual subscriptions. I only await the day, I will carry one of my RD's on that flight very soon.

#7. Finally, for all those who have waited until the end, here's the Jackpot Secret.

If I tell you that every review that you share online can make you 2000 JP Miles a month, will ou believe me. You will when you will get a congratulations message from Tripadvisor and Holiday IQ. Tripadvisor allows you to make 1500 JP Miles every month on sharing reviews on flights, hotels, destinations, and services. When you sign up on Jet Privilege through the Tripadvisor JetPrivilege Campaign, it allows you to get credited with JP Miles on the original reviews you share every month. Starting with as low as 50 JP Miles/review to 100 Miles on reviews shared along with original pictures of the services, you have tremendous potential to earn without bothering your Daddy too much for pocket money every month. You eat out, hang-out, and watch movies almost twice or thrice every month. Consider writing a review of the hotels and restaurants and your local city attractions and you can earn lots of miles every month.
