I am sharing my experience from the city of lakes, all the must visit places and restaurants.

I have spent 3.5K, which includes travel, accommodation and food. I came here with my family, and their facility was my priority.

Day 1

We started our journey from Delhi to udaipur by train (Chetak Express) which ticket price was 400 INR. We reached Udaipur at 9 in the morning. I had already booked Zoomcar, so I moved towards my Zoomcar parking location Gulab Bagh, which was just 2 km from the station. After that I turned to my hotel (Hotel Zade Mountain View, Udaipur). Which I had booked through OYO at 500 INR per night. The hotel was in a quiet area and wonderful views of the mountain, hotel rooms were clean and the service was just wonderful. After breakfast, I started my way to Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is about 100 km from Udaipur city. I reached there afters two hours of drive. View of fort was amazing and ticket for Indian citizen was 40 rs/person, fort was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century and that’s where it derived its name Kumbhalgarh. The wall that runs along the perimeter of the fort is world’s second longest wall after ‘ The Great wall of china’. The wall continuously stretches to 36 Kms in length and is 15 feet wide. You can keep a guide for 300 Rs and cover the fort in two hours. At 5:00 pm, I left for udaipur city. I had my dinner at famous Natraj restaurant . Rajasthani thali at this place was amazing.

Day 2

I started my day early because I needed to cover many places in the city, after breakfast at the hotel, I started my city tour of Udaipur and first I started from Jagdish temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple was built in 1651 with the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. After spending around 30 minutes here. I guided myself to the City Palace, The ticket here is only 30 INR for the Indian citizen, but for the museum, you have to pay 300 INR. You can take a boat ride from here to the Jag Mandir Palace, Which is 450 INR per person before 2 pm and after 2 pm the ticket price increases to 700 INR per person. City Palace view was mesmerizing. Pichola Lake's crystal clear blue water took my breath away. after the boat ride, I went Santosh restaurant for its dal bati churma thali. In Evening, I went to Hathi pole market to buy mojris and some handicrafts, After shopping, I headed my way to Fateh Sagar lake to see the sunset. Sunset View from the lake was the perfect end to a perfect day in paradise. After coming to the hotel we did a bonfire.

Day 3

Last day in Udaipur, I started my day early because I have to pack bags and check out from the hotel, after the checkout, I headed towards the monsoon palace, Sajjan Garh which is around 10 km away from the city and it's on the highest peak of Udaipur. Ticket for this place is 40 INR for Indian citizen and if you are having your own car then you need to pay 200 INR extra for your car. You can use shared jeep also to reach to the top by paying 65 INR per person. You can see the entire city of Udaipur from here and the view was breathtaking. After spending some time at this place, I turned to Karani Mata Temple using the rope way. which ticket price was 104 INR per person, you can go by walk also but it will consume time. view from Karni Mata of Lake Pichola was amazing. after spending some time on Gangaur Ghat, I ended my journey and boarded the train for Delhi from Udaipur station at 5 pm.

Things to keep in mind while travelling Udaipur :

1. Best time to visit Udaipur is winter season between (Nov - Feb).

2. Best way to reach Udaipur is via train if you are travelling from Delhi as its safe, comfortable and also save lots of time because of its a night journey.

Trains from Delhi:- Chetak Express and Mewar Express both are good trains and running daily.

3. If you travelling to Udaipur in winters by train, please do carry your blanket as sleeper class of any train make you feel chill in the night.

4. Enjoy the local cuisine, skip McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut.

5. If you want to do boat ride in Lake Pichola and don't want to go Jagmandir you can take a boat ride of 100 INR . for this you need to go near to Karni Mata temple from City palace there is one spot to enjoy cheap boat rides

6. Udaipur has zoom car, ola and uber services. No need to pay extra money to local vendors.
