Day 1

My 2019 is full of beach sunsets and sunrises. Like every other trip, chirala was totally spontaneous and brought a thousand memories to cherish forever.

we started  at 6 pm on a friday evening in our car (it was a road trip yay !!) with some lovely people (anurag, ruby, sravan anna and jay) . The drive is 350 kms and took us around 7-8  hours to reach. The drive was somehow the craziest and full of thrill.  At 1 '0' clock  in the  night, chirala seemed like a ghost town  and the foggy roads made it almost impossible to drive .  we initially thought to camp at the beach side ( but its strictly not allowed) so we thought to book a hotel and our first option was sea breeze resort (stay here if you are visiting chirala and pre reservation is recommended) but it was full so we stayed at blue 6 resort and it was a average place to stay with inexpensive rooms at around 2500 bucks per room for 24 hours.we chilled the whole night even when everyone was tired AF and then an hour sleep and we were up to go to the beach to witness the sunrise.

It was dark and we were at the beach listening to the sound of the waves , so soothing and serene at the same time. and slowly the darkness disappeared and the sun was no where to be seen (yay the sun tricked us and rose from behind the clouds) . later the sun appeard and it was beautiful. We played in the water, clicked enough pictures, danced to aankh maare, played frisbee and had a fun time untill the salty water started causing irritation in the skin. The beach sand is alittle course and full of crabs. But as much i love water, i never cared 🤣. we headed back to the hotel , freshened up , had garma garam ghee podi dosa and headed to the light house which is 20- 30 kms from the vodarevu beach. The water is salty in the tap and one must carry sufficient water if they are driving.

The light house was beautiful 😍 and the view of the port full of boats loaded with stuffs to catch fish was catchy.    The entry ticket is 30 per head and once you on the top, the guide tells you how the light house works and also how it keeps an eye on the beach. It was nice talking to the guide and knowing all the things. Then we headed to the surya lanka beach and its  crowded compared to chirala. The haritha resort on the beach shore is a great place to stay and the water is cleaner so one can get onto the water and bathe. Its a bit commercial and all you see is outlets selling weird fishes (i am a vegetarian 😋) and the smell is a bit for me but then we settled on a boat and enjoyed the vibe of the place for a long time until we sadly realized we have to leave for home.

we headed back to Hyderabad and i feel people make most of the trip memorable and we had great time in chirala.  its very difficult to pen down the amazing moments but the smile it brings when you look at the pictures is priceless 😍
