A ghat with natural beauty of lush green forests and waterfalls flowing down the hills !!!

The tamhini ghat, over the years, has become one of the favorite places for all nature lovers. A big reason for the same is the winding roads and the abundant lush green carpet of bushes and shrubs, especially during the rainy season, all adding to the region's natural beauty.

This tamhini ghat viewpoint is one of the many located on the route. Still, this one shows the best view of the entire valley and the waterfalls flowing all across the surrounding hills. One prominent waterfall is located straight across from the viewpoint and is one of the biggest I have seen. The sheer force of the waterfall can be felt till the viewpoint itself. If the weather is windy, you can also see a part of the waterfall reversing back due to the sheer pressure of wind from the bottom.

Also, though people would generally be focused only on one waterfall, you can see that there are tons or even bigger ones falling down from the hills. For instance, we glanced at one that was flowing down from the hill right behind us, and the force and the height were much higher than the one we clicked. However, capturing all the falls in one go is difficult due to the thick cloud cover continuously moving around.

To add to the fun, there are also some shops that serve snacks such as roasted corn and even piping hot Maggi if you wish to have some. If nothing, you could sip a hot cup of tea served in the stalls around. But overall, the area is beautifully covered through thick mist of clouds and is a must-visit spot during the monsoons.
