Indeed, our memory of the lovely trip to Grand Island was amazing. We had planned a trip to Goa for our October holidays, and the time we spent there is worth describing. We went to the trip in a large group of sea lovers. I went with my parents, and our fellow travellers came with their family. And to be very honest our trip would have been incomplete and unsatisfactory if we had missed the Grand Island trip, which is one of the main attractions of Goa.
Grand Island has numerous other names like – the Grande Island, Ilha Grao, and the Ilha Grande. Among all the beautiful beaches of Goa, this is the best place for amazing water sports like Scuba diving and Snorkeling. So, the best part of our trip was having fun in all the great water sports like kayaking, Water Trampoline, jet ski, leisure boat, banana ride, especially Snorkeling and Scuba diving within a very fair price. If you have enough concentration power, then you can also try your luck in fishing. Grand Island is a great place to visit during the month of October, December, January, and February. During this time, under the bright sunshine, you can have an amazing view of the enormous blue sea with the crystal clear water; this view is truly beyond any earthly description.
We had landed in the peaceful monkey beach of the Grand Island. We had relaxed there, swam in the beautiful water of the Arabian Sea, some of us amazingly played beach volleyball and football, and enjoyed a kind of beach picnic with a chicken barbecue and port wine. Here we had enjoyed a lot in the Arabian Sea, by spotting wild Humpback dolphins.
Among all water sport activities, my most favourite was Snorkelling. It was really safe, and the Sports Agency pays a great deal of attention behind every single thing to ensure the utmost safety and comfort for all their valuable guests. All you have to do is freely participate and enjoy fully. If someone is facing any difficulty in handling the underwater equipment like a snorkel, the agency also arranges an experienced and licensed aqua-trainer. The real tourists of the beautiful seashores of Goa never miss the great amusement of discovering the rich and enormous underwater beauty in the crystal clear blue water decorated with several beautiful sea creatures. But you must train yourself before going for the final diving. The moment I dived in the water, I just became mesmerized with the first glimpse of enormous moving sea creatures under the blue water of the Arabian Sea. I have really made up my mind to visit this place for the second time to have such a great experience again. The tour operators had provided all equipment like a snorkel, diving suit and life jacket to all the divers. Also, our boat trip experience was marvellous; it took anything between 45 to 50 minutes.
The tour plan we had selected three months early and the package is good all-inclusive with free transportation from the hotel (pickup drop) including the amazing Dolphin Sighting, Bottom Fishing, special cashew wine and an unlimited Goan style buffet. For a long time, I will remember the taste of delicious Goanese Prawn curry with Garlic rice and fish kebab, but the other dishes especially the taste of deserts were not quite pleasing, so the overall food quality was not as good as expected. Apart from this issue, our trip was overall good. The staff’s friendly, knowledgeable, polite behaviour and sincerity in dealing with children was a very good thing that we had noticed about them.
