Mumbai aka city of dreams is amalgamation of imposing history, awe-inspiring architecture, spellbound spirituality and lively youth. From slums to skyscrapers, from opulent to bargain basement priced accommodations, from eating like a millionaire to its delectable street food, from pricey retail therapy to inexpensive street shopping, just to list a few, living on the edge this cosmopolitan offers everything and goes well with every taste.
This was my fourth or fifth trip to Mumbai. My previous trips were mostly confined to Siddhivinayak temple, Gateway of India and meeting relatives. But this time with my new vision for city I headed to Marine Drive for experiencing backdrop of Mumbai skyline and to get views of setting sun at dusk. There I was sitting; gazing at majestic Arabian Sea and soft breeze tousled my hair. The waves trying to meet periphery were receded. Same is life. There are so many barriers which strive to back off person from his aspirations. Those waves never throw in the towel and flood back again with added zeal, liveliness and sheer optimism with the hope that one day they will meet the edge.
Soon decked with star-studded street lights, it gave picturesque view of Queen’s necklace.
