Bangkok is my favorite place in the world for dining out, drinks on rooftop terraces, shopping and people watching. My guide features the best restaurants, bars and malls. Enjoy the spectacular views, great people and amazing dishes, and have a great time! \r\n\r\nThe Activities That Can\'t be Missed:\r\n1. Journey to the Enchanted Kingdom of Siam. \'Siam Niramit\' is a world-class performance of Thailand’s arts and cultural heritage. This must-see \r\n spectacular is performed on the gigantic stage now listed in the Guinness World Records.\r\n2. Mit Chao Phraya Travel Service Canal Tours - The full trip takes about 40 minutes and offers a glimpse of river-side temples, churches, palaces and \r\n the royal boat house.\r\n\r\nThe Places You Should Definitely See:\r\n1. Taling Chan Floating Market - Once a hidden treasure for locals, it is now a hot tourist destination. After visiting and shopping at the Tailing Chan \r\n Floating Market, consider hiring a boat to visit the surrounding small villages for more exposure to Thai culture. For those who want to dive into this \r\n area’s way of life, homestays are also available.\r\n2. Pak Klong Talat (Flower Market) - This is a fresh flower and produce market, offering a total sensory experience. The smell of fresh flowers, fruits and \r\n vegetables fill the air, as you walk through the market aisles of brilliant color.\r\n\r\nAttributed to \"http://www.stay.com/bangkok/guides/280701-ad2ce34a/a-photographer-s-trip-to-bangkok/\"

Located on the 'other side' of the river. A boutique hotel with an eco-friendly feel. You can definitely see that the owner has spent a lot of time with the design. Been there several times to stay as well as have their delicious and seasonal set menu

Seriously the best place to get pizza and pasta. The price is moderate and the staff are really eager to help you out. They have won numerous awards and have been featured on Thai soap operas. It's a very colourful place for dinner.

Malls are always popping up in Bangkok, but Terminal 21 chose to go with a 'traveller theme'. Each floor has it's own country theme and there's always events and pop up stalls to look at. It's attached to the sky train, so it's easy to get to and from

Easily one of the best Thai food restaurant in town that provides great service without the ludicrous prices. One of the oldest establishments on the street.

If you're brave enough, this market is worth exploring and getting lost in. Everything from surplus army clothes to pet iguanas are sold. I love stumbling into things I didn't even want!

The infamous backpacker street that never sleeps. Great for people watching.

Can't really go wrong with one of the world's highest bar on the 63rd floor. Also cool that Hangover 2 was filmed at this location.

Located directly opposite the Temple of Dawn on the river. The best place to watch the sunset against one of Thailand's most famous landmarks while enjoying a lovely cocktail
