This trip was a sudden Friday evening  plan and we initially planned the trip on a four wheeler from Bangalore later we  have changed the plan on the last minute and we decided to go by bike  that made the trip more exciting .I have already gone a ride  through Chikmagalur during our Goa trip on bike from Kerala but we did not get a chance and time to spend on the beauty of the land of Coffee.

It was not a planned ride as Chikmagalur is just 250Kms from Bangalore and has good access through Bangalore-Mangalore highway.I do not want you to drag into every milestone of this journey. The route map of the ride is simple Bangalore,Nellamangala,Kuniegal,Hassan ,Belur and Chikmagalur.

We stayed in a home stay that was located at the interior of Mudigere surrounded by coffee plantations  which was 40kms far from Chikmagalur. The stay was really nice with food and camp fire.

The highlight of the journey is Mulliayyangiri hills the second highest peak in south India. The view  from the top of the peak is mesmerizing and the ride to the peak was pretty off-road and slightly dangerous as the roads are narrow. There are many other places to explore in Chikmagalur since it was a weekend plan we could not cover most of the spots as we have to reach Bangalore Sunday midnight.

The ride was worth ,it is peaceful ,serene and tranquil place and a small information for you may be most of them might be knowing it ,Cafe Coffee Day is Chikmagalur based. So all coffee lovers can head to the land of coffee and brew some natural coffee.
