Calauit Safari Park is located on the northern tip of Busuanga. It is a three to four hour boat ride from Coron Palawan. It was already my third day in Coron; me and my friends were already tired from all the swimming, island hopping, and hiking from the previous days. So I got really tempted to hit the snooze button when my alarm went off at 4 in the morning!

After what seems forever, we finally made it!

The park shelters Calamian deer, giraffes, zebras, turtles, crocodiles and wild boars. Animals are allowed to wander freely and interact with humans.

Feeding the giraffes is allowed, but only in the 'feeding area'.

The park provides safari truck to explore the 3670 hectare island. But unfortunately when we went there all their trucks were out of order. We had to walk under the scorching heat. Hello, sunburn!

Even though we walked under the 36 degree sun, I enjoyed exploring the park. I highly recommend to visit this place. They also provide an overnight stay for a small fee.

On our way back to Coron, we had a stop over at Black Island.
