Meet Anuradha Beniwal, Former Chess Champion who launched her first book about her solo travel journey to 18 countries, broke all the stereotypes travel norms that says it’s unsafe for a woman to travel alone in the World. She launched her first book “Azadi Mera Brand” at Delhi International Book Fair in collaboration with Rajkamal prakashan.

Her Early Life

Anuradha was born & brought up in Mehram, A small village situated in Rohatak. Surprisingly she never went to a school as her father felt there was a lack of quality in education system of Mehram’s School. So she spent her most of the childhood years by learning boxing as her father wanted her to become a boxer but later on, she gained interest in playing chess. After becoming master of Chess, She started playing chess at the national level & became renowned Chess champion.  

She generated her passion towards travelling during her college days in Delhi, where she travelled for a month to Rajasthan. She biked in villages of Rajasthan, Discovered beautiful Kashmir with the aim of leaving her footprints in every corners of India. She knew she just wanted to travel throughout her life. Being from a middle class family, she managed to explore her own country on her own with finite amount of money.

Her International Travel Journey

She went to London for her first international trip, where she started teaching chess to kids. After saving every euro she earned, she again travelled & this time she started her journey by exploring 18 countries in two years. She discovered Norway, USA, Spain, Singapore, France, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Sweden, Denmark & Finland.

Destiny had Some More Adventure for Her

Throughout her journey she shared her stories on her Facebook page & that’s how her destiny took a drastic turn when she received a call from Rajkamal Prakashan about writing her first book. The purpose of writing this book is to encourage more & more woman to travel. Her book is breaking all norms that say only a Richie rich person can travel all over the World.
