A trip to golden city and blue city of India #Jaisalmer and #Jodhpur.

29th Oct 2016

We did all our booking online from redbus.com and Goibibo.com so I think our trip was in budget.

We fixed our cab of Raja Khan for jaisalmer in prior only. He was a good person and took us to almost all famous places of Jaisalmer. In Jodhpur we roam around in autorikshaw for all sighseeing.

Jaisalmer is a nice place to visit from October to April when temperature is down.

You need atleast 2 full days to complete full jaisalmer out which 1 should be in Sam Sand dunes.

Jodhpur is famous for bandhej so if you planning shopping then plan accordingly otherwise 7-8 hours in Jodhpur is more than enough.

I am disappointed that Umaid Bhavan Palace is not fully open for common public its only 1/4th of whole Palace.

Overall trip was good enjoyed more of Jaisalmer as compared to Jodhpur and stay at sam dunes in Swiss tent of Janj Resort and camel ride was memorable for me.

Day 1

My bus dropped me at airforce circle of Jaisalmer .The wonderful city with all houses in golden color and many ancient history to be known.

This beautiful fort is made of yellow colored stones .So when there is sunrise sunrays light up this fort it looks as if fort is made up of golden so its also called golden Fort.

This is famous sand dunes of Thar desert in Rajasthan where you can enjoy camel safari, jeep safari and explore sand desert and play with sand and famous camel race can also be seen here. You can stay here in Swiss Tents and enjoy Local folk dance and authentic Rajasthani food in Dinner which is awesome and an experience you should take once in life.

Day 2

after checking out from tent in sand dunes we went here which is a famous haunted village near Jaisalmer and has deep history associated.

This included many places like gadisagar lake,Jaisalmer war musuem, Bada bagh, Mool sagar, shalinsingh ki haveli, patwa haveli, nathmal haveli, etc.

We departed from Jaisalmer by bus at around 1.30 pm and reached Jodhpur by 6.30 pm and then we went to hotel and out in local market near Clock tower and dinner.

Famous for kachoris and samosas and sitafal cream we tasted were good to eat.

Day 3

Next day morning we went to this fort which is huge ,young and almost in its original condition with huge musuems in it.

This is converted into hotel by Taj and it is one of the 6 costliest hotels in India. Mainly you can see is palace from outside and a collection of vintage cars and clocks of king.

this included the places like Jaswant Thada, Kaylana lake, Garden and main market in Jodhpur.
