Day 1

Its an yearly ritual for us as a couple that yearly once we will have a hashtag just us trip.. just two of us.
Goa has always been fascinating for us  and holds a special place as it was our honeymoon destination 3 and a half years back.
But this time we wanted to explore and  experience offbeat Goa. It has so much of Natures bounty bestowed on it that in just one trip you cant do justice with this one gem of a place. This was our third time and has managed to completely sweep us off our feet and we fell in love ,head over heals with this beauty.

We had four days to spend here and we kept it simple..2 days for south Goa and 2 days for North Goa.

We took a train Chennamani express on 2nd October At 11 am and reached by 6 am in the morning on 3rd October.

Checked in to Go Green spice and eco resort at Cavelossim, a pretty cool resort with nice pool area, sports cafe and bar and has a vast spice plantation area.,the wooden chalet to stay is pretty cosy and cute setup. You can get cycles and  bike rentals. We took shower and a good nap had a yummy meal..chicken curry and rice and a thirst quencher, mocktail worth trying..later spoken to people and hired a Pulsar for two days and were ready to explore..

We drove to Colva beach..by the time we started evening was round the corner..a cool breeze accompanied us wherever we headed..South Goa has lush green vegetation everywhere and multicolored sky was an exhilarating sight,a good start indeed.
As we reached it was a beautiful sight...a countable heads of happy people around and few people enjoying parasailing was a pretty sight. We decided to walk at the golden sand beach, after walking some distance we could spot white fishes with some brown splashes on it into the water everytime the wave settled, such beautiful sight suddenly created a vivid picture of huge life beneath majestic ocean...and we thought how due to commercialization we are destroying it by just being careless and they say a huge part of our oxygen needs comes from  underwater surface...sad why do we need to learn it a harder way..why cant we act..

Contemplating and appreciating the experience we started for our next destination Benaulim beach. The ride in South Goa is so rejuvenating that can really make you forget the destination, whatever you see is scenic ,stirring an aesthetic sense. We sat and enjoyed the sundown and afterglow, the perfect setup on the sky.Later we headed back to reach our resort, roads are pretty well maintained so that you enjoy every bit of your drive be it the feeling of wind on your face and through your hair  and then the splashes of pink orange yellow on the blue huge  canvas of  sky.. which is sure to detach you from all worries and reminds you to live peacefully and that life is too short to be caught up by day to day mundane routine and too short to be wasted on idiotic competition materialism worthless fights and destroying the peace.

Day 2

Day 2 was worth cherishing forever....so much of bliss packed in one day.
As we started pleasant wind joined us on the way and as we  forged ahead into the verdant deep  forest which offered us the spectacular views throughout.. it was no less than the paradise anyone would like to get lost into.
We decided to visit Palolem beach first and taken a ferry ride the package included Dolphin sightings Butterfly beach Honeymoon beach and monkey island.Soon we reached to Palolem beach .. there were a huge amount of big jelly fishes lying on the shore .. pretty cool sight and we then boarded the boat and embarked with excitement on the journey to these amazing places.. we started at 8 am ..the sun was  shining pretty humbly and there were lot of big colorful butterflies paying us a visit on the way, which was gladdening.

As we reached the dolphin sighting points our joy knew no bounds when we could spot  countless dolphins emerging suddenly and then disappearing like a flash, sometimes  their sudden jumps outside the water gave us goosebumps.Watching these adorable species in natural habitat was definitely euphoric.
We made head way to the Butterfly beach seen it through the boat ,the texture it has seemed like the wings of a butterfly hence the name, enroute they showed us Canacona island known for resident monkeys and later honeymoon beach, the shore of beach, due to high tides was submerged into the water.

We returned and stopped at butterfly beach, what a pleasant and invigorating view of the beach with turquoise green water, clean sparkling sand, lush green vegetation and good amount of rocks all around.. the romantic setup wasnt less than a dream destination where anyone's heart could skip a beat in pleasure. We sat on rocks and appreciated picturesque views to behold for life and thanked the power driving our lives.

We returned back to Palolem beach and had a walk on the calm and smooth water beach lined with palm trees and cool shacks.Palolem is also known for its nightlife and though we visited it during the day.. At Palolem lies a disco where they put a headphone on each visitor and they can dance all night without any loud noise.... good shops for purchasing and good foreign crowd makes it a happening place..on the Palolem beach lies the Magic Italy Pizzerria ..which serves mouthwatering pizza and is every foodies paradise.

From Palolem we headed towards Polem beach which is the southernmost beach of Goa and is cleanest beach ..on leaving NH 66 there is a small road to reach the beach we could find a shack we ate a lot of tawa fry and deep fry fishes..pomfret bangra singhi..and many more.. it was dirt cheap and finger licking delicious. Pomfret of pretty big size which would cost us atleast 600 bucks was of 150.
A lot of small cats would join you while you eat..it felt great partying with them..
Cotigao wild life sanctuaury was nearby though we dint have enough time to visit.
Polem beach looks like a bay on Arabian sea with lot of small hills surrounding it. The water color varies from deep blue to light blue and its surrounded by palm trees and lot of greenery.. while sitting under a hut kind of structure and enjoying delicious sea food with a such a pretty view...we actually felt as if we are somewhere exotic..

Now we started for our next destination  Galgibaga beach the route is so scenic that your soul would be enthralled .. you can enjoy the beauty of back water while on your ride to Galgibag beach you would enjoy some rare moments of peaceful tranquility in the lap of nature while exploring the beaches of south Goa. As we reached we could locate no tourist and a beautiful beach all to ourselves.
This beach is regarded as a turtle nesting site and is under forest deoartment ..and they say the turtles come on the surface only in dark..

after soaking in the beauty until we were contended we headed towards Talpona beach..which is again a beauty... an amazing one, you can watch a little crowd of just foreigners..chilling here with their family sunbathing and enjoying frisbee and their drinks.. and resting around lazily ... and you can enjoy your me time with no one to bother you.
I kept looking at endless sea and mighty waves, rocks and greenery around, to reach here we actually drove on sand..it was fun.

Now we headed towards Palolem again to enjoy a pizza at Magic Italy .. as we reached it started drizzling followed by heavy rain we sat and enjoyed the rainfall view while we had  yummiest pizza ever.. Palolem is really lovely to be at and you get positive vibes there.

Our Next stop was Agonda beach ... as it was getting dark and we had to reach our resort we thought of skipping Agonda beach first but then shrugged this thought and made headway to Agonda..the beauty of backwater lead us to a lane where you can enter this beach...and what a beautiful sight it was..sunset was approaching and a lovely breeze swaying.. Agonda beach is a big beach and you can spend a day exploring just this beach the mighty mysterious big rocks amidst the green vegetation ..you can carefully hop on rocks and find your perfect rock top to sit and enjoy the sunset.  Quite a number of photoshoots were going on , of some beautiful couples..great deal of beautiful shacks and cottages some beautiful hotels were there and yes an awesome foreign crowd enjoying.
We started from Agonda back to our resort at Cavelossim and we had never expected the terrific kind of route that we experienced the heavily dense dark green vegetation and the curvy slender route, with fewest vehicle on the hilly terrain it looked like a sea saw water ride, this route had ocean in parallel and hence when you are on the top of your water ride like road you can get an amazing sea view and whenever the dense forest allowed you can see sea peeping. As it was getting dark it looked little scary sometimes; but forget the fear enjoy the best nature is letting you experience.
The beauty bestowed on South Goa is priceless and Nature is so profound that when you actually start contemplating it.. the feelings are pretty indescribable.. you just don't feel you have enough words to describe it. It feels as if you are meditating.. I just have one word for this whole day experience ..Yugen.

Well it was a fun ride and we reached our resort late evening. Ohh.. it was amazing sea hoping day.

We just came back rested had a good bath and were ready for our dinner date.. and this time the destination was chic and happening The Fisherman's Wharf. You need to book well in advance if you need Riverside table and we did it the previous day itself. We got ready and reached the destination in 10 minutes. The live music was enough to get us in peppy mood .. summer of 69..  All of me loves all of you.. and many more tracks.. We ordered prawns and Ratatouille lasagne and some worlds best drinks.. and enjoyed.. the setup was perfectly romantic ..amazing decor amazing lights amazing views.. well we had a good eve.. and after around 2 hours we were back to rest at our nest.

Note: Do download the route before you start in a beach hoping day..because most of the time internet wasn't available.. no network at all.

Got up next day and enjoyed a relaxed tea on our chalet and started to pack for north goa..we got a cab booked returned our bike and then had a good breakfast cleared our bills and headed to Colonia Santa Maria CSM.. ohh our next chic nest on the Baga beach.

we sat at Sea side Shack Brittos .. they offered good food and drinks at nominal rates when compared with other shacks. The crowd was good we just sat and relaxed and enjoyed the moonlight, the sea waves, good food and good company in each other and enjoyed looking at the activities of crowd around. Later we just thought of taking a walk on the sea side ... and had a lovely walk sometimes getting into the waves and the other moment running away from it... and then we had a walk on the happening Tito's and Mambos lane.. just took two rounds giggled looking at each other as we  watched the high crowd laughing and dancing and going crazy, and later headed back to our resort which was few steps away.

We took a walk got into the water and just sat there rest all was done by the waves..we were drenched in happiness humming the melodious songs and enjoying. Around 8 AM all shacks were set again and they played some kishore kumar Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar track.... we just enjoyed listening to it and by 9:30 we were back to our place.

We started for Chapora fort famous amongst all for Dil Chahta hai shoot. It is pretty good fort with scenic views. The crowd was pretty good, we got to  interact with a lot of couples around and yes the start of interaction was asking a favor to click each others pictures.... all the people we met were positive vibes lovely people. We sat on green corners and just enjoyed the sun playing Peekaboo .. and the wind ..and when you watch the vegetation.. swaying in wind you feel as if they are talking when the wind rustles the leaves it looks as if trees are whispering ..it was all dreamy.
We got down from Chapora fort and sat for snacks and then decided to head for Ashwem beach..

With this beach North Goa redeemed itself ..we do have least commercialised clean beaches in North Goa too.
The route has been wonderful, no less than a south goa ride. This beach attracts olive ridley turtles and hence this is one of the reason that government doesnt allows to built shacks on this beach.Well we sat on the beach and watched one of the most  beautiful sunset ..this beach was so clean that you can see the reflection of sky above on the wet sand shores and sea even the people walking on the shores had exact reflections .. the afterglow was amazing, the sky changed from bright orange and yellow to thousands of shades of pink and the multicolored sky kept us amazed.
