Hi Everyone

Yet another beautiful post with lots of positivity. This is about a small trip which we took to a small but beautiful digambar Jain temple in Margao..

About the place

To be very surprised, this place is not known to many. There are no articles or blogs written about the place. In google map, we were shown just two temples out of which one was in MIDC Verna and second here. We opted for the Davorlim one.

The temple is situated amongst posh colony of bunglows. It is surrounded by resendential housing from all sides. Even Google map did not take us through the route. Map landed us nearby to the place from where we could see the temple.

My experience

We left the place by 10 AM and reached by 11 AM. I stay at North Goa and this place is in South Goa at a distance of 30 kms.It drizzled while we were on on our way. Weather was very pleasant and beautiful.

We took help of google map to reach the place though Google dropped us nearby to the temple and not exactly right into the premises. The temple is small and cute. The idol is of Adinath Bhagwan.

We took darshan and chit chatted with the Pandit. He informed that the temple is built recently.

There are no shops around selling anything. But there is a construction going on for room stays. The rooms are new and charges are very minmal. Rates are INR 500 for non ac and INR 800 for AC rooms. I am sure these rates will not cha

nge during season as well. The best part is ground floor is kept for parking of cars.

The pandit told us taht this is only digambar jain temple in Goa and the visitors are from Karnataka and Maharashtra mostly. There are hardly 100 families in Goa, after all Goa is a small place.

We stayed in the temple for 30 minutes and left for home. It was a short and sweet trip and one can surely visit the place to get some peace of mind.

Overall experience: It is a very calm and quite place amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. One can surely visit the place for peace.

If you have any queries, please feel free to ask in comments. I will try my best to answer the same ASAP. Also I would suggest visit this place for an experience which you can cherish forever.
