Day 1

Gallant Gwalior

It's always a great day for me when I finds myself near our glorious past. The most beautiful and iconic Architecture made by Indian Kings.

This journey is about the visit to GWALIOR FORT, a 3km distance from GWL station. You will start admiring its beauty from its first view.

I had 5 hours to wait for my next train, so I picked up to visit Gwalior fort, Jorney started from station,  auto charged ₹50 only to the Quila Gate, from gate its a ascending walk.

On your left, it will be beautiful gwalior city, on ur right a beautiful fort. The first thing you gets to visit is a temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and it has an ancient ZERO in the temple architecture.

After that a long walk till you reach the Lion's gate of the fort, a mesmerizing view will hold you. What a beauty it contains! Amazing.

There is a museum, in front of the lionsgate which has beautiful stone idols from nearby villages, map of the fort, ancient weapons all just in ₹5 ticket.

Then on left there is MAAN SINGH MAHAL.
A beautiful 3 storey building, a blackroom with sunlight and ventillated by natural air. It has several dark rooms and scary floors. It will be a fun to visit if u have crazy friends.

Then further right after you exit Man Singh Palace, a Jauhar Kund, Karn Temple, Lord Shiva Temple, Mughal time buildings made by Aurangzeb and several ancient buildings which will just hold ur hands to sit there with the ancient beauties.

A great photography marvel it is. The scenic view of the city from some points is quite amazing.
Then there is a Sikh Gurudwara, A Teli Temple, Saas Bahu Temple (Sahastrabahu Temple).
Everyplace is a jewel of architecture in itself.

Ancient water wells one with Indian Architecture, other with Mughal Architecture is also superb, It still has water in it.
Scindia Public School and Orphanage is also a delight to see at such height.

To visit the fort either you need you own transport or else u can take battery auto which will be easily available.

Total time to visit fort: 3 to 4 hours.
Speciality: Photography marvel
