Day 1

Amritsar to Mcleodganj

As the check-in the hotel was late in the noon and I had reached Mcleodganj a little early than expected, I visited the St. John Church of Wilderness, Buddhist temple , Namgyal Monestry prior the check-in. They all are located in the city centre. I also hogged some delicious food at Illiterate Cafe which has an amazingly breathtaking view and a library where a reader wouldnt mind spending days in there. After that we checked into the hotel and then went for zip lining at naddi view point. As Mcleodganj is a place which is also known for its cafes, I had my dinner at Tibet Kitchen.

Day 2

The second day was all about hiking and hogging. I visited the Bhagsunag Temple, Bhagsu Waterfall and Shiva cafe. It's a simple 20 minutes trek to Bhagsu Waterfall from Bhagsunag Temple where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful waterfall with some snacks which is served by the small cafes surrounding the waterfall. After that I made my way up for 10 minutes and reached Shiva cafe which has an indoor as well as outdoor seating with beautiful ambience inside and outside with equally good food. If I could go back to Shiva cafe, just sit and still do nothing, it's gonna be worth it. While returning, I had the famous Bhagsu cake which shouldn't be missed on your trip to Mcleodganj.

Day 3

As it was my last day in Mcleodganj, I decided to to visit the HPCA Stadium, the War Memorial and keep the late afternoon for shopping at the Tibetan Market and also explore few more cafes in the main square. There are a lot of options to eat in the main square from coffee shops to cafes and to momos and pani puri on the streets. Well, you can cover up Mcleodganj and Dharamshala in just two days, but I decided to spread it over for 3 days there were are lot of cafes out there and wanted to try few more.
