In one of my trips to Rishikesh, I went to this place called as Beatles Ashram. This is somewhat a shady and little hidden place which is located at one far end. This is near Ram Jhula and lies in the region of Rajaji National Park.
The entry ticket to this park is around INR 150 for Indians and INR 600 for Non Indian visitors. The Ashram which was once very well run and famous amongst not only Indians but foreigners is a barren place now.
It is famous because John Lenon from Beatles band visited this place and later came with his complete band. They wrote many famous songs here.
Presently it has become an art room for many artists. It is a huge place which has many buildings in it. All these buildings have rooms and their walls are either graffitied or coloured by some artist. Only one building called as Beatles Gallery is a kind of big room.
While we were exploring this place, we got a little negative vibe, maybe because it was too early in the morning and we were the only visitors there at that time.
Some of the buildings I mentioned above has terrace too and you can go up and have a beautiful view from there.
If you are an adventure seeker then I would definitely recommend this place to you.
