The day to start our Delhi to Ladakh Tip !
I went on this road trip with a group of 40 ppl with the combination of bike riders & tempo travellers ..I didn’t know I’m gonna experience being on Himalayan too !
Finally Jispa !!! Beautiful campsite besides the river . A night to meet & interact with co travellers over bonfire .
A beautiful misty morning after night showers & we began our journey for Leh crossing some beautiful lakes & landscapes .
Baralacha Pass !!!
It took our breath away ... hardly any vision .We could only see only snow & fog around . And to add to our adventure or training snowing !
A drastic change in landscape as you enter Ladakh . Vegetation is replaced by brown mountains flaunting their charisma & profoundness
Followed by a beautiful sunset ...
Nature playing with colours on canvas called sky.
Reaching Leh was an adventure in itself and this was a bright Beautiful day in Leh . When we started ride(me on Himalayan ) from our hotel & started sightseeing
And we touched upon this amazing blue lagoon in evening . Fallen in love at first sight !
My fondest memory is of bike ride to Pangong Lake .I had fallen for this blue lagoon fallen at the first sight. How can something be so serene & alluring? The windy & chilly evening could not stop us going crazy. I could have spent hours watching this beauty. It became more magical with star-studded sky & Milky Way was making a way through It.
After having star studded night at this beautiful campsite , we woke up to this blue water . It has a different charm in every part of the day .
Finally we reached Leh in evening & visited Shanti Stupa.
Later in evening we went to shop & enjoy local cafe’s in Leh city .
And we bid goodbye to incredible Ladakh.
Started our return journey crossing Tangla la pass and returning to Manali.
Time to go back to concrete jungle after 10 beautiful days in mountains.
A few tips for travelers -
One needs to be physically & mentally strong to handle extreme weather conditions & changing altitude to enjoy every bit of this ride. Also, one needs to drink adequate amount of water, carry warm clothes (preferably wear in layers as weather fluctuates), carry eatables like chocolates, biscuits, energy bars and don’t skip meals. Carry good shoes(preferably waterproof), gloves , cap ,thermals ,sunglasses,powerbank. Sunlight can be harsh during the daytime , do apply sunscreen. Approx cost of the trip was 50000( including 10000 for flight from Pune to Delhi)
These 10 days passed away on a blink of eye. So many flavors in one journey is exemplary & beyond comprehension. It was hard to bid farewell to magnificent Ladkah, where simplicity & integrity is still intact.
