A DAY IN GANGAIKONDA CHOLAPURAM

Everyone knows about big temple of Thanjavur. The Gangai konda cholapur is mere replica built by the great chola King Rajendra Chola.

An UNESCO world heritage site. The many constructions of the temple was damaged (broken) in past for several reasons.

The main thing to be known is that at mere 5 to 6 pm the Sunrays strike on the nandhi in the  temple reflected on the shiva linga. No one should miss that serene scene.

At different time the temple shows its beauty in different ways. For photographers it's advisable to stay an entire day to shot it beauty.

And 2 kms away from the temple there is a small museum from the ruins of the Palace of rajendra chola.

Don't miss lion faced well in the temple and trees with linga shaped flowers in lawn. If you are going in night you could not even look the temples gopura as only one small light was there.

For best views it's advisable to go in morning.
