The chain of these little islands that make everyone fanatical were undoubtedly on my list. It is a place where expectations meet reality, or should i say more than that? Andaman is all about beaches with white sands and the tall green trees making you fall in love with the blue - white - green combo!

Also, you’ll be happy to meet people from all parts of India residing here!

This short trip started with my two crazy traveller friends, never had i thought i would travel with. Without any itineraries! Without any guides! And yes, no Google Maps!

If you are choosing Andaman, you are choosing tranquility! There will be no dearth of peace here.

Language won’t be a barrier! They know Hindi and Tamil to welcome the tourists!

To me Andaman was like India’s holiday home.

So this is how we bumped into Andaman just booking our flights and accommodations!

Day 1

Reaching Port Blair by noon from Chennai taking a flight, we then stayed in at Andaman Residency - a pocket friendly guest house, dropped our bags and took an auto to the Cellular Jail.

Cellular Jail or Kala Pani which has been a colonial prison showcases its wonderful architectural perspectives. You can also enjoy a light and sound show at the jail. Roaming around here for an hour or two we later headed to check the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex.

ya Ofcourse as the name suggests you can do all water sports you want to! Almost like any normal place to water sport. Still you can have a walk in and spend some time in the garden around.

At Carbyn’s beach we could fetch small stalls selling souvenirs and pearls and stones. It was time to relax at the beach after the lonngg walks! Looking at the sun on its way home we sat praising nature. Finally, the hunger that went on strike returned! And we had a petit dinner in a pretty petit cafe by the beach all lit with lights.

Just a perfect place for an evening date if you are on a honeymoon!

Day 2

Day 2, started early - A 2 hours ferry to Havelock Island in the South. The moment you step out you see a magnifique view yet again, the water flaunting its blue shades. Dropping in our luggage into the cottage we ran to the private beach the hotel had. It was nothing but peace!

This day was all about beach hopping!

What do you do when you are at the beach? Chill!

Exactly what we three musketeers were doing. And admiring life sitting on the benches lined up and observing people from various parts of the world. That’s my favourite thing to do!

One of the most beautiful beaches of Asia, the Radhanagar Beach is ranked 8th in the world. Certainly we wanted to see! And we ended up spending 4 hours till sunset! Walking the long stretch collecting corals and meeting a sting ray! And dogs - who became friends. At the end, all eyes on the sunset, no words could define the subtleness.

Day 3

Almost the last day! Weekend to end! Dived into the sea, ofcourse with all gares! Because you haven’t visited Andaman if you didn’t scuba! And it is super true! You are going to see another life, a marine life. If you love Nemo, you have to go and meet him! 2 hours of scuba was a treat. You return with a smile of satisfaction.

Elephant Beach is another beach where you can do water sports and might as well see naval ships. But! The way to this beach was the most mesmerising to me since you have to walk into a forest to reach the Elephant Beach. It is a therapy!

Day 4

Bon! A special ferry - Green Ocean I - took us back to Port Blair. A ferry with some music, dance and a view to the boundless ocean.

And an end to the last moment trip!

Having only the weekend we could only visit the South of Andaman. You can get yourself going to Neil Island and Ross Island tooo!
