Siem Reap – known as the Angkorian City- is where you can find the famous Angkor Wat temple. Angkor Wat dates back to the 11th Century and provides the perfect spot to see the sunrise above the shrines.
Bike the Angkor Sunrise tour is designed for anyone who is looking to learn about Cambodian history and local culture as well as capture the best sunrise spot at the main temple. Beyond the Angkor Wat, you will be able to see many interesting temples such as Angkor Thom city, Bayon temple, Phreas Khan, Ta Prom temple which you will get the insightful information from our experience tour guide.
This tour goes beyond just seeing the temples and delves into the rich history and culture of Cambodia whilst cycling through the scenic land of Siem Reap.
This tour is to take you away from the touristic route as you will take part in a bike ride through off the beaten path to see the ruined temple and explore the hidden trails around Angkor Wat complex.
Stop 01: Capture the Angkor Wat Sunrise
In the early morning, our guides and drivers will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you directly to Angkor Wat in time to see the sunrise. Your guide will take you to the best spots to witness the colourful sunrise. Afterwards, you will go through the Angkor central complex and talk about the history and symbolism of the temple. Ask as many questions as possible to ensure you get the information of the place you’ll visit. When you have finished discovering Angkor Wat and had breakfast, you will be met with your bikes. You will then start the bike tour down single trails behind Angkor Wat.
Stop 02: Bike through less-known temple and village
On your bike, you will follow tracks that take you through small villages hidden in the Angkor Wat complex, where you will learn about local livelihoods. You will continue to discover other temples such as Angkor Thom City, Bayon Temple, Preah Khan temple and Ta Prom temple better known as the Tomb Raider temple.
Stop 03: Lunch at local restaurant
You will then have lunch at a local restaurant to try the spice-infused Cambodian cuisine. After enjoying your lunch you will head back to town by bike or tuk-tuk depending on the individual.
What to bring: Camera, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, wear comfortable cycling clothes, etc.
Clothes: Cambodia is a conservative country, especially when you visit the main temple, Angkor Wat, we would like all of the cyclists to wear clothing that covers shoulder and knees, due to the cultural respected.
Departure: 5 am to 3 pm, Daily.
