Annapurna Sunrise Trek

With the view of enormous mountains being glittered by the light of rising sun in the early morning, Annapurna sunrise view trek, also known as Ghorepani Poonhill trek, is renowned as one of the best viewpoint all around the country. Starting from Pokhara city and ending at Ghandruk, this trek is of nine days. We will take about 45 minutes drive from Pokhara to Nayapul then our real trekking begins. After you start trekking from Nayapul, you start enjoying the natural beauties all along the way up to Poonhill. Going ups and downs on the way, the trail goes through beautiful forests of oak, bamboo and rhododendron and many beautiful villages like Ghorepani, Poonhill, Tadapani, Ghandruk. You can witness many snowy mountain peaks including two eight thousanders: Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m). This route is found to be more adventurous as you have to climb up 3,000 steps in Ulleri which will help to test yourself and your stamina. After you reach our final point-Poonhill, the best view of sun rising just above the snowy mountains will surely make you stand still and keep watching until the sun leaves the mountains. With maximum altitude of 3,210 meters, it won’t be a difficult task to trek up to Poonhill and enjoy such a heart touching view. In spite of being low altitude trekking, this route offers you numerous of scenic views. So, this route can be one of the best to enjoy yourself out of your busy schedules for all travelers like students, families, solo or individual travelers, women and young trekkers. The best season to mix up with the real beauty of this route for trekking is from the mid of September to end of December and first week of March to mid of June.

Day 1

Trip Detail Itinerary:-

Day 01  : Kathmandu Airport Arrival - (1,350m/4,428ft)

After you land at Tribhuwan International airport, you will be welcomed by our office representative. As he will be holding your name plate, it will be easy for you to recognize him. Then after, he will transfer you to the hotel. You can freshen up and have some walk around Thamel. At the evening our guide will give some briefing about our trek and routes. Overnight at hotel inclusive Breakfast.

Day 02 : Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) - 6 hrs drive 

After having breakfast, we will be ready to travel to Pokhara. Kathmandu-Pokhara is about 6 hour journey which goes by the side of Trishulu River and Marshyangdi River. You can watch out the living style of people living all along the side of highways. After we enter Pokhara valley, views of mountains will be in front of our eyes. Overnight at hotel inclusive B.*If you don't have enough time then you can also fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara which consumes about 25 minutes, then trek to Ulleri.

Day 03 : Drive to Nayapul and then trek to Ulleri (2050m/6725 ft) - 6 hrs walk 

Today we will first drive up to naya pool, then trek to ulleri. After our breakfast, we will enjoy a short vehicle ride up to Naya Pool which is of about 1 hour. Then our real journey begins. After we reach naya pool, we will start walking. The trial goes through sub-tropical forests. On the way, we have to cross Modi Khola (river) with the help of suspension bridge. We have to ascend the about 3000 steps to reach up to Ulleri. Naya pool- Ulleri is about 5-6 hours trek. Overnight at Ulleri inclusive BLD.

Day 04 : Trek to Ghorepani (2,750m/9,020 ft) - 5 hrs walk 

Today, we ascend up to Ghorepani which is real lovely place where you can find some shops and stalls selling local products and craft. The trial moves through beautiful Oak & rhododendron forest and some villages. In about 5-6 hours, you reach to Ghorepani. We stop at highest point of Ghorepani to have the view of mountains like Annapurna South and Nilgiri . Overnight at Ghorepani inclusive BLD.

Day 05 : Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft) - 8 hrs walk 

Today we are going to have some special moments as we are ascending to the Poonhill to have some scenic views. Poonhill is undoubtedly the best view point to witness the beauties of mountains and sunrise. Waking up early in the morning, we have to start our trek quiet early to observe sun rising just above the snowy mountains. You can see the mountain peaks being shined by the light of the sun. The mesmerizing view of mountains like Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli will surely make your trek worth. And then we will come back to Ghorepani. We will have our breakfast at Ghorepani, and start our walk to Ghandruk-a Gurung village. We descend back to Ghorepani observing rhododendron forest and spectacular waterfalls. Overnight at Ghandruk village where you can explore about the culture of Gurungs inclusive BLD.

Day 06 : Trek to Nayapul and then dive back to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) - 5 hrs walk 

After breakfast, we ascend to Nayapul about 5 hours walk, following the trial paved by the stones; we will walk through some villages and terrace framings. After crossing Modi khola, we reach Birethanti. After half an hour from Birethanti, we enter Nayapool. Then we will catch a private van and drive to Pokhara.

Day 07 : Drive back to Kathmandu 

We will have our breakfast and start our journey back to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu, you can have some rest. Overnight at Kathmandu inclusive BLD.

Day 08 : Kathmandu sightseeing 

To make your trip more memorable, we will take you to have some sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley. We will be visiting some historical and cultural places. Our program includes sightseeing around Swyambhunath stupa, Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple and Kathmandu durbar square. Swyambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath Stupa are famous Buddhist holy places whereas Pashupatinath temple is famous Hindu holy site. Similarly Kathmandu durbar square carries historical values. You can also have some shopping of Nepalese product. Overnight at hotel inclusive breakfast.

Day 09 : Departure to your destination

Today is your departure day, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and pray for your Safe journey.
