I was in a dilemma about where to plan my next trip. Then I thought of a place that's a bit remote, surrounded by quiet mountains. A place where the roads would take me on an unforgettable journey. Suddenly, I thought of seeking help from the internet, and that's when I stumbled upon a reel about Auli. I was immediately captivated and decided that's where I would go next.

Day 1: The Journey Begins
Finally, my much-awaited trip began. I was going on this trip with two of my friends, who were supposed to meet me at the airport. Eventually, we all landed in Dehradun from our respective destinations, where our cab was waiting to pick us up. Finally, our cab picked us up and we set off on our Auli trip. We reached Rishikesh from Dehradun, where we spent some time exploring in the evening and then stayed overnight at a hotel. After breakfast in the morning, we left Rishikesh for Auli. We arrived in Joshimath after a scenic drive of approximately 280 km. Auli is just 10 km away from Joshimath. After reaching Auli, we had dinner at our hotel and rested for the night, as we were looking forward to enjoying the breathtaking valleys of Auli the next day.
Day 2: Exploring Auli
The mountains of Auli seemed as if nature had crafted a masterpiece. Each mountain appeared to me in a distinct shape. Visiting Auli truly felt even more worthwhile. The most special part of the day was watching the sunset and the noodles I had for lunch. Everything seemed perfect since morning, and being at this place made us forget all our worries. Today, we enjoyed nature walks around the area. Now, we were just waiting for tomorrow, when we would experience skiing and snowboarding.
Day 3: Enjoying Skiing and Snowboarding
Auli is most famous for what? Of course, skiing and other winter sports. Its thrilling slopes attract everyone, it feels like the slopes themselves are inviting you to come and ski. Since it was my first time skiing, I took training from a certified instructor. Finally, I learned and enjoyed skiing, while my friends opted for snowboarding. Ultimately, my long-held dream was fulfilled.
Day 4: Trek to Gurson Bugyal
Today is the fourth day of our trip, and we visited an extremely beautiful and attractive meadow. The trek can be a bit challenging for first-time trekkers, but the stunning views as you climb upwards make all the fatigue worthwhile. As we ascended, we saw rolling meadows unfolding before us, and the cool breeze was soothing everything. Honestly, perhaps very few people get to witness such breathtaking views. Such beautiful places are usually far beyond the reach of the common public. The moment I had been waiting for finally arrived when I caught a glimpse of the Nanda Devi mountain, Trishul, and Drona mountain. My heart truly melted. They stood there in all their majesty.
Day 5: Departure/Getting Back to Doon
Today was the last day of this trip, and it was time to bid goodbye to Auli. My heart wasn't willing to leave, but I had to. Now, our taxi was going to drop us back in Dehradun. We reached Dehradun in the evening, and since our flight was the next day, we stayed at a hotel in Dehradun.
This trip to Auli taught me a lesson for life - we often don't take time for ourselves because we get too caught up in our busy daily lives. We should take out some time to go on a good trip with our friends and family. You must visit Auli at least once and enjoy the scenic drive from Dehradun to Auli. Keep traveling and stay happy!
