Goa, a destination rated high on the entertainment quotient is the best place for bachelorette weekend. Dazzling nightlife, lip-smacking cocktails, amazing nightclubs, wild beach parties and of course free flowing music makes it the best place for party animals. You can also go for a long drive, visit churches, get a tattoo, pamper yourself with spa and massages, watch dolphins, go for a cruise party, gamble in casino, indulge in adventure sports, learn cocktail making, visit UNESCO world heritage site, visit a spice plantation or just relax on the beach. Goa has to offer something for every type of traveler.
I recently visited North Goa for a Bachelorette bash. There were seven of us bridesmaids who collaborated via WhatsApp and emails to throw an epic bachelorette party. Everything was planned and booked before we arrived in Goa Friday evening. That bachelorette weekend in Goa was one of the best times I had with my girl gang.
If you decide to plan a bachelorette party in Goa, there is plethora of options on what you can do. Here are the few things that will help you in the planning process.
Where to Stay
If you are a party lover and want to let your hair down to the music in some of the popular pubs then stay near Baga or Calungute beach. If you want to relax and unwind in the less crowded places or plan a boat house party then stay in south Goa.
Book a swanky Persian style villa with a private pool. Stock the place with drinks, food, games and anything that your group is interested in.
Things to do for Bachelorette
Swag for the Bride - We are a group of 8 girls and this is our 4 th Bachelorette party. The previous bride-to-be hands over the bachelorette sash, tiara, veil and the white dress to the next one. It is customary for the bride to wear this white dress long with the sash and tiara for cutting her bachelorette cake.
Swag for the Bridesmaid - The matchy-matchy bridesmaids t-shirts and dresses are in fashion. You can either purchase same t-shirts/ dresses for all bridesmaids or customize the t-shirts to add names/ taglines. For our party, we wore the same tank top and each one of us styled rest of the outfit on our own.
Decorate the room - Decorate the room with red and white balloons. You can scatter the balloons on the floor or hang them from the ceiling with ribbon. Stock the place with drinks and order some food. Light candles and turn on the music for a house party!
Bachelorette Cake - No bachelorette party is complete without the cake. Preorder a customized cake for the bride to be. In Goa, there are very few bakeries that sell Bachelorette themed cakes. We had to drive all the way to a baker near Miramar beach to get the perfect homemade cake for the bride-to-be. If you are looking for a picture of this delicious cake....it is censored!
The gift - You can gift the bride something that she will cherish all her life. We bought a simple white frame and kiss signed it for our soon to be BFF bride. She loved it!
Things to do in Goa with your BFFs
The sun, sand and sea - Goa is known for its beautiful beach shacks. You can unwind and get a true feeling of the Goan life at these shacks. The sound of splashing waves and the golden sand will never leave you while you sip the beer and enjoy food delicacies! With a great music, chilled beer, amazing food and pretty happening crowd, Goan shack is the place to be for brunch!
