Why a Backpack trip?

Backpacking nowadays means to carry limited luggage, stay in hostels, interact with locals, walk or cycle around the city, use public transportation and have experiences a normal tourist would never have. Itinerary

Day 1: Mumbai to Paris

Fly from Mumbai to Paris. This town is loaded with possibilities. We will depart for the 'Paris by Night tour', where the French capital transforms into the "City of Lights". Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafés give us a real taste of Paris’ romance. You can also optionally toast the start of your trip with French Champagne. And of course take an up close view of sparkling Eiffel Tower. You can also optionally sign up for an authentic cabaret experience, complete with can-can girls and Champagne.

Day 2: Paris- City tour

Discover its many bistros and tree-lined avenues. Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Champ du Elysee, step into the Notre Dame Cathedral or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre and get up close to the famous Mona Lisa.

Day 3: Paris canal cruise

Today we will visit the mighty Luxembourg gardens which are famous for its regal splendour and lush greenery. Evening will be reserved for a slow boat ride in river Seine covering entire Paris.

Day 4: Paris to Ghent

Next we depart for the picturesque Ghent by a four hour long bus journey covering breath-taking views of Paris countryside. This city is also sometimes known as Venice of the North. After checking into our hostels and some rest, we will do an evening canal cruise of beautiful Ghent city resting in Western region of Belgium.

Day 5: Ghent tour and Ghent-Amsterdam

We will head today for a walking tour of this small but beautiful city. Walk across canals, old churches, enjoy delicious Flemish cuisine, and shop at famous Virjdamarket. In evening we will take a short bus journey to reach Amsterdam.

Day 6: Amsterdam

It’s time to experience Amsterdam’s coffee shops, museums and quirky, cool boutiques. Also, included is a tour of world’s wackiest, funniest, gruesome and scariest haunted house The Dungeon. Visit it to believe it. Check out the eye-opening Red Light District, where the creative and the wacky come together on narrow cobbled streets, 24/7.

Day 7: Amsterdam countryside tour

In an intro into Dutch culture, see how clogs are made at Volendam. Cruise into the countryside and bike around like the laid back locals, past working windmills, to the world-famous cheese village of Marken.

Day 8: Amsterdam to Prague

We will take a night bus to reach Prague in morning. This town is also known as party capital of the world. We will undertake a guided cycling trip of Prague and understand a town replete with history and beautifully located across river Vlatva. The glitz and glamour of Prague is hypnotic. The palaces, churches, busy squares, classic cafes all call out to you and a must try are the local Czech delicacies, beer and of course you must get a picture by the oldest functioning astronomical clock in the world. We will be doing the ultimate pub crawl in Prague tonight.

Day 9: Prague

Get a bird-view of Prague as those opting for Skydiving can do so today afternoon. Others get ready to admire Prague's best-known landmarks either on foot, on a Hop on Hop off tour. Check out the Prague castle complex or walk the cobblestone streets through the old town and Jewish ghetto. Prague is also a destination to buy clothes from world famous brands at a cheaper price.

Day 10: Prague to Salzburg

Welcome to Salzburg- the birth place of Mozart. It’s a charming city situated between Alpine mountains and river Salzach. If you have seen the movie The Sound of Music, you may think you know all there is to see in Salzburg. Admittedly, it is difficult not to spontaneously burst into song when you're walking along the Salzach River, or climbing up to the Hohensalzburg fortress which looms over the city. In Salzburg, you must try the Mozartkugel, a chocolate praline filled with nougat and pistachio marzipan.

Day 11: Salzburg

Today we will visit Mirabell gardens- This paradise on the east side of the Salzach River shelters notable sites like the Pegasus Fountain, Dwarf Garden and the set of stairs where Julie Andrews and company practiced "Do-Re-Mi" in "The Sound of Music." We will also explore the beautiful winding paths, snap photos of the unique sculptures or simply drink local beer brewed by Monks in the sights. Mirabell square also holds a farm market everyday named Schrannenmarkt which sells agricultural produce blended with Souvenirs.

Day 12: Salzburg to Munich

Today, it’s Germany bound by a two hour train to the home of the world-famous Oktoberfest, Munich - a city that blends traditional Bavarian culture and modern lifestyle. We will be heading for the Allianz Arena stadium tour. Die-hard football fans will swear by this historical stadium of one of world’s greatest club Bayern Munich. Experience staying in a large Tent hostel and pass the serene night amidst bonfire and soft music.

Day 13: Munich

Today we will undertake a guided walking tour of Munich starting from Marienplatz. It’s a central gathering spot famous for the Glockenspiel - a Gothic clock, complete with 32 dancing figures and 43 chiming bells. During this tour, you will get to know the places which form core of Munich city and we will also cover spots where Hitler used to give his speeches.

Day 14: Munich

Later head off to BMW museum to experience how these mean machines are manufactured. Also, pending is a visit to city’s most happening place-Englischer garden.

Day 15: Munich to Paris

In the final leg, we depart in high speed train (based on availability) from Munich to Paris, from where we will take our return flight back to India with truckloads of memories and smiles.

Where do we stay?

Stay at a property that was once a castle in Germany or another which was once used as a Beatles recording studio(both based on availability). Apart from being safe, hygienic and centrally located, our hostels also have interesting stories- be it about their history or their guests. Listen to your fellow backpacker’s entertaining stories and share with us your own over the many bonfires.

For any cancellations till March 13, 2016, Rs. 20000 as cancellation fee will be charged and rest will be refunded back to your account. Post that a cancellation fee of Rs. 40000 will be charged.
