Checked in zostel hotel in Rishikesh(Rs.1200 for 3 days) after travelling for 15 hours by train from Mumbai and 1 hour 20 mins by cab from Delhi station. (Rs2.6k by Gozocabs)Booked bunjee jumping activity for Rs3.5k asap since it was supposed to be pre booked and December is supposedly season time.
Booked an activa for Rs.200 and rode till the highest bunjee spot where the activity was held. Prepared my mind mentally to jump off the ledge after a little motivation from the bunjee team. Had the most surreal and breathtaking experience, thanked my stars as soon as I reached ground surface. Had to walk an incredible amount all the way up to the top to collect the bunjee jump video. Which costed me Rs700. Departed back to zostel for dinner. Zostel hosts late night jam sessions. This is an amazing fact about zostel. So every night was an epic sing along jamming night.
Booked a river rafting activity around noon for rs400. Had the best time rafting down the Rishikesh river for 30mins straight. It was 16kms downwards to the end drop point. The rapids fall from 1 to 5. 5 being the most dangerous rapid. We were successful enough to get through all the rapids safely. At the end we jumped off the boat and swam to the shoreline. Later jumped of the cliff which was part of the package. Everything was recorded by the instructor so got the whole video and photos for 300 on per head basis.
Walked our way to Beatles ashram (entry Rs100) and Beatles cafe. Experienced a much greater positive vibe at the ashram. Beatles cafe serves some really good veg food. All within budget. Later in the afternoon checked out of zostel and left to Delhi station to head back to Mumbai.
Overall cost from travelling, adventure sports to accomodation came up to Rs. 14k pax for 3 days.
