July-August is the best season to visit Leh and Ladakh. Started the journey from Mumbai for Jammu.

1st day jammu to kattra for the blessing of mata vaishnodevi. From there headed for Srinagar. Had night stay at the house boat in dal lake.

 2nd short trip of Srinagar city (nageen lake,Mughal gardens, Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden, Shankaracharya Temple,jama masjid)

3rd &4th day headed to Pahalgam and Gulmarg.

5th day woke up early morning for the trip to Leh, took innova opp to bus stand. On the way took hold at sonmarg as the army had not started the upward traffic, had night halt at Kargil.

6th day took a short halt at Kargil War Memorial, reached leh in the evening.Stayed at hotel horsey. saty cost around 400Rs for the room for members of YHA. You get even get drom @ 100Rs.

7th day took bicycle on hire, leh palace, the Shanti Stupa, the Magnetic Hill, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Alchi monastery they are just around 40km radius from leh city.

8th day adventure sport white water rafting on the Zanskar River,

9th day took bike on hire @400/day Shey palace, Thiskey monastery, Hall of Fame
10th day hired a car for Pengong Lake on the way sighted the Himalayan marmot and wild ass spent the night at the beach tent on the banks of Pangong Lake, by evening was back at the hotel

12th Visited the factory where they process the raw pashmina to fine shawls, strolls, caps, gloves etc.

13th day hired bike to enjoy the steep, narrow, zigzag roads on the way to hemis monastery, the monks were practicing for the hemis festival, and the hemis museum is worth a watch.

14th day hired a car for Nubra Valley, on the way had to pass the highest motor able pass kardung la pass. Visited Diskit monasteries, had a night halt at the homestay. Where the house owner prepared authentique ladhaki food, and fresh vegetable were pluck from the very own garden.

15th day early morning while sip the tea was fortunate to see the ibex at the mountain surrounding us, on the way played in sand dunes and the Bactrian double hump camel.

16th day hired car for Tso Moriri Lake which happen to be a fresh waer lake.

17th day shared the car for Manali on the way halt at Jispa from there to Keylong night halt at keylong in the tented shared acommadation.

18th day started our journey early morning from keylong with the amazing nature and Himalayas. Reached manali late evening. Night stay in hotel

19th day local sightseeing like Hadimba Temple, Tibetian moasteries, Vashisht, mall road etc  

20th day visited the solong valley in the morning before saying good bye to manali.took evening Volvo for Delhi.overnight journey.

21th day took flight from dehli to mumbai

located near the leh market every shop is walk able distance
