Barsana , small village near Mathura .The famous Gopi of our Krishna, Radha ji was born and spent her childhood here. Shri Radha Rani temple was our destination from Delhi. The 125 km stretch took us about 3hrs 15 mins to reach. Temple get's closed by 1:30 pm and reopens at dot 4:30pm. The shakahari (vegetarian) food is lip smacking. One must not miss having lunch at the bhojnalaye down the streets of Barsana. Full meal in just 40 bucks. Do try the street foods too(lassi, golgappa, aalu fry, and Pedaaa). Even if you reach by the time temple is closed , you won't get bored waiting. The surrounding is peaceful with beautiful view of the village.
If you are planning for vrindawan and mathura, do plan a visit to Barsana. The 300 stairs to be climbed to reach Radha Krishna is worth . :)
