Started our journey from Kolkata and reached NJP at 10'oclcok in the morning. The train was delayed by 3hours (Darjeeling Mail).
Though we planned to start our journey from Silk Route n den going to Gangtok. However der was something else planned n due to permit issues we had to move to gangtok.
We took the sharing at 250rs each n it took 3 n a half hrs to reach our destination.
It was definitely an adventurous ride due to hell of of landslides n car jammed due to the same.
We checked in at The Meru Hotel right beside the M G Marg Road.
As we reached in the evening we couldnt go for sight seeing n hence planned to freshen up and take a stroll at the M G MARG.
We spoke to Lakpa Daju who dropped us from the cab stand to hotel n fixed d next day for Silk Route.
I fell in love wid MG MARG. Its a walk to remember definetly.
We checked into Pub 25 at the MG MARG.
Beer n Pork Ribs what a combo.
Next day morning we started our journey covering Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir,Nathula Pass & Nathang Valley (which i will cover in d next diary)
Our third n finally day was Local Sightseeing in n around Gangtok.
We went to the Flower Exhibition, Planetary Conservation,Waterfalls,Tashi View Point.Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok
There were total 7 destinations n we were charged 1200 bucks.
I fell in love wid d weather...people n food.
Its definetly a place to go n be lost n enjoy the journey.
